I got My H1 Approved Today at Mumbai Consulae
Hello Everybody First of all thanks to this group who is very great source of information. No site no group no community can give better guidence then this . I want to share my expereicne with you all.
Today Was my appointment at Mumbai Consulate at 8:30 morning. I have reached there on 7:30. Its better to reach early. there was really less rush out side the office at 8:15 they have allow to go inside the office. very good arrangement and Descent Que system. I was in que for 15 min. They have takne my docs. and then finger prints and after that they have issued me one pink token on that one number was printed. So i have sitted on chair for sometime . And they wwere announcing the numbers and the window where they have to go . my number has came in 10 min and here the interview started
VO : Good morning
Me : Good Morning Sir,
now he was cheching for details in computer and after 2 min
VO : Why u want to go to US
me : bla bla bla good clients good exposure.
Vo: hey but u r working in company TCS. ur Empoyers having Clients and technology better then TATA
me : I have answer according to that
Vo: Since how much time you are working in TCS
me :Since one month
VO: whey in short time u want to leave the company
me : Bla bla bla
Vo: Whts ur role to be in ur company
Me : My technical skill and my role i have explained
Vo: Why u wan to go for MS technology , why not Java technolgy
Me : bla bla bla
and then
Ur visa approed u will get ur passport in 2 days.

I have a doubt reg. 221g. While filling DS156 form again should we mention the date on which the visa was refused under the question "Have you ever been refused a visa?"

Succesfull H1b After 221g at Chennai
HI everyone
I am glad to share my exp with u all thru this mode. I was issued 221g, requiring project specification document, marketing analysis, W2 Forms of last 3 yrs.
On 7th Feb i attended the consulate with all the above said docs, this time i dont have any issues and simply got visa. All r straight forward questions, which are posted by so many H1 aspirants.
I really thnks to all people for sharing ur exp, and i wish u guys all the best.

Regarding H4 Visa for my wife
I need a very crucial information regarding my wife H4 visa.
I got already 221(g), I am plannig to attend on 15 Feb. My wife has appointment on 16 Feb. If i get visa on 15th Feb, Is it possible to attend my wife for H4 on 16 th. Becoz My passport in the mail,...right. Is it compulsary for her to show my visa on my passport.

things to be taken care of..
Hi all,
after attending u.s visa interview i find that these things are very very important in getting a visa..
1. talk to your employer and make sure that you had a valid project and client to work for. INHOUSE PROJECTs ARE DANGEROUS.
here mostly mistake is of u.s employers by not providing suitable doc's.
2. all your ds156 and 157 forms are very very valuable means all your history will be in them. so don't change when you visit second time or take care while filling them.
3. don't try to see what's happening arround, be confident and mind your business. if you concentrate on what's happening arround you cannot attend the interview freely.
4. plan your crucial 5 min presentation by noting the probable questions in this forum.
5. don't let the hr manager in your u.s office to spoil your career, talk to him and get what you want rather than sending 221(g) to him. he will be having lots of vacations in the world but make sure you have all valid docs to get a visa.
6.don't argue with VO, give the doc or ans which he wants, don't be too smart. be honest.
7. afterall getting visa is not only source in life to live, be patient. do your work(arranging of docs and other stuff) throughly.
