H1B, H4 Visa

I must be very thankfull for the moderators of this web site which helps a lot for the people who are preparing for visa interviews in various consulates all over the world.
As this site is helped me it's my responsibility to share my experience with you all my dear friends.

My day on 25th Jan'06 is as follows...

3:00 PM I reached Consulate and entered in to queue which is on the side of road at the entrance of main gate.
3:30 PM I entered inside thru the main gate and there I was scanned and the security had checked all my file under
theier security process if I have any electronic gadgets or not.
4:00 PM I entered to TTServices table and dropped my Rs.441 DD there and took reciept from TTServices people.
4:15 PM I entered to another counter where we have to submitt Passport,H1B Approval Form,DS-156,157,I-129 and also gave Rs.4600 DD.
4:20 PM I entered to a big queue in second building where interview will be taken place. There is big queue people waiting for thier turn to attend interview before the building.
4:45 PM There while standing in that queue some person (hope he's clerk) came and called my name and handed over the TTServices file containg Passport,H1B Approval Form,DS-156,157 and I-129 which I gave it a counter at 4:15 PM.
5:30 PM I entered inside to the main building after completing security check once again regarding any electronic gadgets.There I sat for my turn.
5:45 PM Then I stood in Counter#13 for giving my finger prints both left and right. After that again I sat in chairs arranged there.
6:25 PM One person(clerk) came and asked me to stand in Counter#9 for interview where there are 4 members only standing before me.
7:10 PM It's time for me....conversation as follows...

VO:Hi
Me:Hi, How do you do?
VO:Fine,Thank you.
VO:Can I have your file please?
Me:Ya, sure...and gave the file which contains Passport,H1B Approval Form,DS-156,157 and I-129
VO:Is your employer is a software company or consulting?
Me:No, it's a product based which do projects for inhouse only.....
VO:Can I see your degree certificate?
Me:gave my B.Com degree certificate
VO:Can I see your post graduation certificate?
Me:gave my M.C.A degree certificate
VO:What are you going to do in US?
Me:I was Test Engineer...and bla bla....
VO:What project are you going to test?
Me:Project name...
VO:Can I have relevant document regarding the project?
Me:Ya... and shown the Business Plan/Marketing Plan of the project which I got that from my employer.

Then she went to some other counter with that Business Plan/Marketing Plan document and discussed with some other person
and again that person also came to this counter and again both discussed and noted some thing from this document in computer
and then VO told me by giving back that Business Plan/Marketing Plan document...our cash counter was closed, so please give
the DD here itself.
Me:Sure....and gave the Rs2300.00 DD.
VO:You'll get the passport in two days thru courier to your address.
Me:Thanks and Have a good day Madam.
VO:Thanks.

7:15 PM I returned back from that building and was out from the consulate.

I saw another counter side of my counter while waiting for my turn here,some VO's are asking about payslips,experience letters,current working appointment letter also.

This is all my experience. But upto my knowledge as I saw over there, there are no much rejections,only queries.
So don't forget to carry Project Description,Roles and Responisibilites. Ofcourse VO haven't asked me,but it's good to carry
Roles and Responisibilites document also.

Can any one tell me about Hotel Palmgrove near by Chennai consulate if any one had experience there?How is it for staying with family ?

and also if any one can suggest me any good hotel near by chennai consulate for family stay in range of Rs 1200-1500.It will be helpful for me.

Need a small info. I was issued 221g in chennai counsellate for the complete project details and itenary etc. Now i have a small doubt. My employer is ready to fax me the docs ASAP. Do i have to submite the original copies or can i submuit the xerox copies when i attend next time to the embassy. If anyone konws well please suggest me.

I went to consulate on 4th oa Jan I got 221g and VO asked me to use the TTS dropbox before 30th Jan. I sent the docs on 18th Jan and on 28th I got a courier from TTS which have only my Passport and Visa DD , rest all documents with VO only. They have not even send me any 221G document. Any one aware of such case? Please help if any one knows about this.

is ds-156,ds-157 are stored in database?
want to change some of the fields ,first time i did some mistakes.
can i change now for 2nd time interview some of the fieds?

i attended interview on 15th sept.05 and that was my second run in consulate,they taken all my original degree certificate and asking for further admin process...and they told me that thay will call me...but till 4.5 months i m not received any response from them.now i want my degree cert. by anyhow..so, how to contact them..by phone...or by email...please telll me the address if any body knows any one effective contact ways..thanks

        My name is lisa. i am an indian and b.com degree holder. i am in hamburg doing my masters. i came in 2005 oct. my friend in USA is trying to do my USA processing. what are the basic things embassy people ask. where should i apply, frankfurt or berlin. what type of questions do they ask. what is % of sucess rate in getting VISA. are there any rejection.

As i was redirected from delhi to chennai on dec21st.i was given yello paper stating that i was redirected.
Pls tell me ..i am going on again jan31st i.e tuesday with 2,300 d.d and ds156.
Pls tell me is that i can go directly witht hat yellow paper or is that i need to inform VFS people ?since my appointment prior was thru TTS.
ppls tell me, i am in a moody situation at last moment gettng this doubt..
