VO: Good afternoon. I am doing good. Thank you. What about you?
Me: I am doing good. Thank you.
VO: (After checking my documents) So you work for YYYY Company.
Me: Yes. I work for YYYY Company.
VO: How long have you been working with YYYY company?
Me: I’ve been working with YYYY for last YYYY duration.
VO: Ok. And what is your designation?
Me: It is YYYY .
VO: Ok. So tell me what is your company into?
Me: Answered the Company profile information.
Vo: Ok. So what is your specialized skill set?

VO: Ok. So what specialized skill set will you be using while your stay in the US?
Me: Being a SME in YYYY , I will use my expertise on the YYYY system and help the local branch team to complete the project within the pre-defined timeline. Also I have been supporting this project from remote & have been involved in this project from its design phase. (this answer may vary depending on your specialization or work)
VO: Ok. (After a pause of almost 40-50 seconds and looking at my documents while typing continuously) So can you please tell me your Indian Salary in INR per annum?
Me: (Since I had forgotten the actual amount, I took a pause of 5 seconds decided an amount close to the actual amount in my mind) YYYY XX INR per annum.
VO: Ok. And you will be paid enough allowance for your expenses in US?
Me: Yes. I will be paid YYYY US dollars per month as an allowance for my out of pocket expense.
VO: Ok. (After typing for 40-50 seconds) I am approving your L1 Visa. Have a nice trip.
Me: (with a big smile on my face)Thank you.
VO: Have a nice day.

Is L2 allowed if working in India ?
Hi,
My husband 's org has initiated his L1 . His project work in US is only for 45 days. I am planning to apply for L2 so that we could travel together. Am currently working in India and planning to take leave for travelling to US with my husband. Please help me with following questions

1) am i eligible for L2 since am employed in India:? I heard that one should resign the job here if travelling in L2.
2) If am allowed to travel by taking off from office should I carry any supporting documents like leave approval form etc?
3) can i attend interviews in US with L2?
4) My husband's company is not sponsoring for my L2 . Since am going to pay myself should I apply for B2 instead of L2. some people suggested me to apply for B2 since am going to pay the visa charges and could get 10 yrs validity unlike L2 which expires when his L1 expires or he returns back.
If am going in B2 can I show his office provided apartment address as my place of stay ?

VAC interview for L1
Hi, I am applying for L1A VISA in Chennai and today i had a biometric interview at Delhi VAC. after biometric process executive just told me that all done for the day, but were they supposed to give any confirmation on VISA appointment letter, which is required for consulate interview ?

Also they put a sticker at the back of my passport and others (my wife and kid) where L1B is mentioned, now am not sure how they picking it as L1B while am going to apply as L1A. So far there was no option to select L1A or L1B while filling DS-160 or while taking appointment.

I think they are taking BLANKET as 'B' while mentioning L1B on the sticker, but again am not sure...Pls let me know if anyone else has also noticed it.

Thanks

L1B interview query-URGENT
Hi

My educational background is that I am a Chartered Accountant.I have worked with one of the Big 4 professional services firms in the Audit Department. After reading about the L1B experience posts for last 6 months,I noticed that more than 90% applicants are from the IT background.Just wanted to know if anyone knows the chances of success rates for Non-IT people, how many years of experience is considered good for L1B and if any one of you(from Non-IT background, preferably finance) has successfully got the L1B visa, please let me know how to prepare for the interview.

Does it help if your petitioner is a Fortune 500 company or a company which is recognised across the world in its field?

Thanks in advance for your replies!God Bless!
