New OCI card-San Francisco processing time Question
I applied for new OCI card for my son on 8-Feb-17 from San Francisco consulate under new OCI process.
The application was "under Process" at Consulate on 16-Feb-17.
We are planning to travel India in last week if April, but I am worried if I can receive the OCI card by time we travel.
Considering 8-10 week process time, it will be end of April.
Please let me know the new OCI process time with no matchup process.

OCI Card - Passport Question
I applied for OCI card just a couple of days back in DC. I was asked to submit my original US Passport with the application. Looks like the whole process might take anywhere from 60 to 90 days. When will my passport be returned? At the end of the process? Does that mean that I will not be able to leave the country till I get my OCI card?

Karnataka CET eligibility for OCI holders.
In Karnataka, last year based on parents' fight and based on High Court order KEA allowed OCI holders to apply and appear for Karnataka CET for engineering and allied medical science course. This year again it is blocked and when asked they are saying that if they receive high court order this year again they may allow. We would like to know if any other parents faced similar situation and have thought of any action plan. Thank you for your time.

OCI card pending.. traveling to India on eVisa
My child's OCI is currently pending and we are going to india on 7th Feb. I got the eTourist visa.
If OCI is approved by 6th and since I will not be able to receive it , is it OK to travel with evisa? will I have any issues at the immigrations in India

Sent new OCI application docs on Jan27/2017 still no Status update on CKGS

Anybody sent new OCI application to Washington DC on or after 27 jan and received status update on CKGS website.
I have sent docs on Jan 26 but still there is not any status (Received) on CKGS. FedEx says it delivered on 27 Jan.

OCI Dispatched on Dec 28, still no update
Hi,
Firstly thanks to all of you for the experiences shared and the valuable inputs.
I applied for my son's OCI on Nov 29 2016 and tracked the status on the government website that it was dispatched from Delhi on Dec 28 2016.
Based on that I got the tickets for my family to fly from Chicago on 7th Feb. However till now I have not seen the update change and no status for the OCI card to be received in Chicago.
I have called Cox and Kings multiple times and according to them if the embassy did not receive the OCI card they would not be able to track it. Once it is received at the embassy, then only they can give me a timeline.
I am worried that I would not be receiving the OCI card before 7 Feb - the travel date.
I would want request the experienced members for their inputs as to what I should do.
1. I cannot opt for an eTV since my family would be staying for 2 months. Is it an option to apply for an eTV and then when I receive the OCI I send it across to my family in India. Would the immigration in India have issues with this?
2. Should I take an appointment at the consulate and apply for an entry visa for 6 months? What is the timeline to get an Entry Visa.
3. Should I wait few more days to check the status - I do not want to be too late?
