 Dear friends, I have an inquiry regarding OCI match up process for my 5 year old daughter. Do I send money order again for $20 as OCI fees during the match up process? Because I believe that I sent this amount in the beginning during OCI application in the first part.

Hi, I recently did my daughter's OCI card - here is the timeline. Things to highlight - use the A4 size Fedex only. My bad i had to pay more money to send the money order again for using the wrong reusable FEDEX envelope. :)

Hello all

I applied for the OCI card in march at the san francisco consulate and its now august and still waiting for my OCI card. Everytime we call in for status we are not getting any useful information and they keep saying still under processing( see below sample message). Has anyone experienced similiar issues. we really dont know what to do further ? Any help or assitance much appreciated.

Hi Guys, Mailed my application for OCI on 06/18/2016 by Fedex, it reached NY CKGS on 6/20/2016 but i was only able to track it on ckgs since 6/25. Today 08/05/2016 collected my OCI in person at ckgs NY. Overall experience was good and it took 48 days for me.
here is my time line.

Hi all, The description of the OCI card sometimes refers to this as a "Smart Card". Yet the pictures I see online looks like an old style booklet, not that different from the old PIO card which is very manual looking (even has hand-written portions to it!). Can those who have received the OCI card in 2016 comment if the booklet has an "electronic" card or component to it.
 
Why is it referred to as a "smart" card? Perhaps just marketing? Thanks. :)

I applied OCI for my baby. After more than 2 and half months of wait when i called to check the status, they asked to send new photo. Anyone has similar situation. what could be the time to receive after the new photo is sent to ckgs.

Since the status didnt change, i called customer care on 07/26 and found that the photo has to be resent.

Hi,
     I am currently a PIO card holder and would like to apply for OCI in Lieu of PIO Card. Looking at the checklist fromcox and kings , I'm confused on the "Sworn Affidavit"( Sworn Affidavit of spouse is required if the spouse of an applicant is a foreign national. The form should be filled completely and signed by both applicant and spouse, also same should be notarized.) My wife is a US Citizen and will not be applying for OCI. Does the sworn affidavit requirement apply to me ? If so, how should the Sworn Affidavit look like ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
