OCI Card application under-process for more than 11 weeks in New York
I applied for OCI card in Nov'2021 and got an acknowledgement on 17th Nov. Since then, it's pending with "UNDER-PROCESS" for more than 11 weeks now. Sent many PRAMIT queries and received email responses with standard template "Process will take 4 to 5 weeks from the date of acknowledgement". Tagged @meaMADAD in Twitter for help and sent emails to cons.newyork, but haven't received even a single response. Any idea what might be taking so long? My wife and kids received the card in just 4 weeks

OCI holders and Aadhar
I am US Citizen with OCI. My father recently passed away in Tamilnadu and to get a Legal Heir Certificate, TN needs Aadhar for the Legal Heir application. OCI holders can get Aadhar only if they stay 182 days in India. Anyone had similar experiences and if so, how you have resolved this issue. Thank you.

OCI Card Collection in India
Is it possible to apply for the OCI card for a newborn in the US and collect it in India (while on a tourist visa) ? We wish to travel as soon as possible instead of waiting for 40 or so days.

San Francisco OCI Miscellaneous Services
My spouse and I applied for miscellaneous services (name change) at SF. The consulate received both of our applications on Dec 2 and it has been "under-process" since then. Anyone with experiences who applied on or around that date?

OCI Denied - anyone with similar experience?
My OCI was denied a few days back by Washington DC Embassy. I work for a State Police Agency (civilian job, IT department) and I was told by Embassy that I am not eligible for OCI because I work for Police Department. The FAQs I see on VFS website only talk of below that are

1) Whether foreign military personnel are eligible for grant of OCI?

No, foreign military personnel either in service or retired are not entitled for grant of OCI.

2) Whether civil Govt. servant working in Ministry of Defense as IT engineers/civil contractors entitled for OCI?

No.

I was born and raised in India, I have no ties with US Department of Defense, nor with any of the US Federal Agencies. I have tried contacting the Embassy, but the phone calls are never answered (despite voicemails). The only response I have received has been to my email and a one liner - "This could be because of your job profile. People working for police are not eligible of the OCI card."

Is there anyone on here with a similar experience? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
