Did anyone receive OCI card using UPS return label? How long does it take to update the return label tracking status online?

VFS Global: OCI Return Label
Never had this in CKGS, during the initial payment itself, they charge are all the labels and they generate it when OCI is ready.
Sending in return courier label when OCI is ready is a BS process.
How are you guys sending the return label to VFS global, one more courier to them or you could just email it to them ?

OCI - Legal status document for L2 spouse
I'm on L1A and I have i797A approved document for legal status. There is no separate doc for L2 dependent. In this case, what do need to submit as proof for legal status for my spouse, to apply OCI for my kid? Appreciate your help, Thanks!!

New OCI card minor - SFO
20th Nov 2020 - Application sent to VFS SFO (Used VFS courier option with pre-paid fedex return label).Fedex confirmed delivery to VFS SFO on Nov 23rd
24th Nov 2020 - Received acknowledgement with request for additional documents (copy of i-797 A of spouse for valid visa status) and asked to provide an additional UPS return label to receive OCI card. Application put on hold
25th Nov 2020 - Sent additional document along with additional UPS return label to VFS SFO
Dec 7th 2020 - Received VFS acknowledgment that application was processed and in-transit to embassy
Dec 9th 2020 - Status on Gov of India OCI site shows under-process with acknowledgment date of 9-Dec-2020
Dec 9th 2020 - Received US passport back with Fedex return label
Jan 4th 2021 - Gov of India OCI tracker reflects status of Processed, Dispatched from MEA(OCI)
Will update once VFS dispatches card and it is recieved

The gov of india tracker still does not have a date on document recieved, another post mentioned vfs services impacted until Jan 13th due to covid in sfo
Will give it a couple of days after 13th and if no movement planning to call VFS helpdesk

Vfs site says documents has been dispatched but I dont see any updates on FedEx site. Do we get shipment tracking updates or just wait for the FedEx person to show up 🙈 So worried where my package actually is!😑

New OCI - Photograph question
Hello, The GoI website states photograph should be on a light (not white) background. And the VFS checklist mentions photos should be in white background only. If you got OCI via VFS; can you pls share what background should we use for the photos.

Online applications are only accepted if filled out in the current year.
What is meant by VFS OCI renewal application instructions that state the following "Online applications are only accepted if filled out in the current year." I just filled it out online on 23rd December and am waiting for Courier shipping labels to show up to ship to VFS in Chicago.
I just want to make sure it doesn't mean that VFS needs to process the application in the current year as this would be impossible with only a few days left this year. I just want to be careful as there are so many issues people are having with VFS and applying for OCI Cards.
