My application for adult OCI and Renunciation - sent to SFO 5/8/2014
Forwarded to New Delhi - Acknowledgment Date 05/14/2014
However there was NO UPDATE IN STATUS for 45 days. Kept showing UNDER PROCESS for 45 days
On 7/8/2014 I sent an email and the status updated within a day
It now shows as PRINTED on 7/9/2014.
It also shows that my Registration was granted on 06/11/2014
I wonder why the documents had not printed and status was not updated all this time
My suggestion would be to send an email to expedite.

- May 30: Received renunciation certificate Jun 04. Renunciation was done on May 6 itself.
- Jun 23: Documents Printing Status changed to PROCESSED
- Jun 24: Dispatched from Delhi.
- Jun 27: SF Consulate received OCI Card.
- Jun 30: Sent USPP to CGI-SF directly by USPS with return envelope. I asked over email and they asked me to send it to them. They gave a "4-digit file #" and asked me to write that and "Attention: OCI DISPATCH Department" on top of USPS envelope.
- Jul 01: Received a formal email from OCI to send USPP.
- Jul 03: Passport received at CGI-SF.
- Jul 07: CGI-SF sent the USPP with match-up done on 7/7
- Jul 09: Received & DONE. Once the application is past CKGS/BLS folks, it works well. At least BLS & CGI followed time commitment in my case.

I have applied for OCI reissue for my son back in February with BLS. After nearly five months the documents finally got approved and mailed from India on 6/17. However they have not updated the status since then. It's been over two weeks since they were mailed. Trying to contact Chicago consulate without any luck. Any suggestions?
