N400 and I751 interview done
Hey everyone,
Just wanna share with you my experience. I had my combo N400/I751 interview this morning in San Francisco office.
Appointment was at 8:45, went with My partner and they called us in at 9:00Am
The interviewer was very nice and professional at the same time. She briefed us on whats going to happen before starting. She said that she will start with the I751 interview and if we pass then she will ask my partner to step outside and do the N400.
I751 questions to my partner:
- where did you meet?
- how did you maintain the relationship since we were both in 2 different countries.
- Were you married before?
- have you met his parents and family?
- Have he met your family?
- when did yoh guys move to San Francisco?
- who moved first?
- Where do you live? Is it owned or rented?
- you have the lease?
- Have you had any separation?
What documents do u have that shows shared assets
I had a loooot of documents, I even gave her the monthly bank account movement for 3 years!
She was impressed by the documents so try to have as much documents of joint stuff as possible .
Then she asked my partner to step outside and did the N400 interview. Went over info from the application like name, address, where do u work and repeated a couple of questions asked to me and my partner.
English test was easy read” Who was the first presidenti?” and write “Washington is the first president “
Civics questions
1. name one war in the 180”
2. Whats an amendment?
3. What did the Declaration of Independence do?
4. Whats the highest court?
5. Who is chief justice?
6 how many amendments?
Then stopped cause I got them right.
Went through the yes and no questions then had me confirm my name info were spelled correctly as this is how its gonna be in the naturalization certificate.
Then she told me to wait for the Oath notification in the mail although she gave me a letter saying decision cant be made!
I asked her how did the interview go, she said it was good, u passed! Its just that the process is different now and we have only been open for 15 days.
Fingers crossed it wont take much longer and good luck to everyone out there.

Additional documents with N400
Hi - For those residing in the US and filing with 5 years Permanent Residency - What additional documents have you submitted with your N400?
The online application asks for Green Card only. But any other documents you have submitted to make things easy/fast? Nice to have with the application..

Interview and Oath in Charlotte NC
I am happy to say that I am now a US Citizen. My interview was scheduled for today. During the interview, I was surprised when the interviewer told me that I will also take the oath if I pass the interview and if I am also ready to be naturalized today. (Of course, I was super ready). After the interview I was told to sit and wait for my certificate to be printed. After my certificate was printed, I took the oath along with 5 other people that also had their interview today. If you are scheduled for interview in the Charlotte office, be ready to take the oath on the same day. I am glad to be a Citizen now.

NYC Judicial Naturalization Ceremony Info.
I got a phone call from a field office (I assumed) today to inform that my rescheduled oath ceremony(7/20/2020) is cancelled, which I already know via my USCIS account.
However, she said that judges are coming back and slowly resume the oath ceremony so wait for the letter. She cannot tell when it will be my turn.
I would like to share this information with people who are desperately waiting for the Judicial oath ceremony in NYC.
My field office is Queens, the original oath ceremony was at SDNY on 3/20/2020.

Houston office
Hi everyone,
I thought I would give everyone an update on my experience at the Houston office this morning for an i-551 stamp. I have a pending i-751/n-400 application (applied for n400 08/24/2019).
Since my green card and extension letter are expired, I was able to get an infopass appointment to get a stamp.
When I arrived, an officer took my passport and green card outside the building and went back in to review the documents and have the passport stamped, then came back outside to give it to me. You don't even get in the building.
I asked the officer when they anticipated n400 interviews to resume, he said he had no idea, that they were still trying to prepare for that and install plastic windows on the offices to accommodate one on one interviews. But he said he doesn't know and they expect to be furloughed in 2 weeks, putting additional uncertainty.
On the building door there was a sign saying that the July 13th oath ceremony was cancelled. Not sure why, but hope they are still conducting oath ceremonies.
At least I'm glad I got my stamp before everything shuts down when/if they get furloughed.
Been waiting for a long time now and unfortunately it seems like there is still a long road ahead.

Interview Scheduling and Re-scheduling W/name change
Congrats to all those who have become US citizens. Wanted to hear if anybody has recently received interview notice (first time or re-schedule) who's requested name change? I know this is subjective to many factors like location, date filed, backlog at the particular office, etc. but just wanted to see if anybody has received interview date notice? My timeline so far (from Houston, Texas):

I didnt get FORMN-652
I just completed my naturalization interview today at the Irving Field Office. The Immigration Officer congratulated me and told me my application was approved, made me sign a form with some personal information but he didn't give me please share your experience im really frustration right now

Hi guys. How accurate is the USCIS account?? Mine says Comp. time July 2020 and still nothing. What are the chances we can get a call or mail without the status changing in the USCIS online account?? Thanks...
