Oath Ceremony De-scheduled on the Same Day it was scheduled
My overall naturalization process has been quick.

Filed: 10/02/2019
Biometrics: 10/22/2019
Interview: 01/10/2020
Ceremony originally scheduled: 01/24/2020
Field Office: Hialeah, FL
Ceremony/Interview Office: Miami, FL

When I passed my interview, the IO stated that my interview will probably be at the end of the month. I explained that I would be traveling to another state for 5 days to visit a relative before deployment and she mentioned it shouldn't be an issue, to just notify the personnel immediately who would be providing my oath ceremony details outside (waiting area/general section inside USCIS building).

The person providing the details for the ceremony told me I was scheduled for 01/24/2020. I advised I would be traveling out of state from 01/22 - 01/28. After rolling her eyes and sighing at me, she went back in an office and came back out to inquire on my dates of travel again. I told her any time after the 28th would be perfect. She told me she couldn't fit me in the ceremony earlier than 01/24 as it was full and that USCIS would be sending me a letter with the new appointment.

I received a letter on 01/14 confirming the ceremony date of 01/24 at 7:30AM and sent a letter this morning requesting for it to be rescheduled. When I got back home an hour later, a letter had arrived from USCIS with the same date the ceremony letter did (01/10)stating that due to "unforeseen circumstances" the oath ceremony was cancelled for the above applicant and another notice would be sent regarding any further action on my case including any rescheduled interview information.

I am anxious as I am not sure if this is due to my conversation with the personnel at the USCIS office or because of another reason out of my control. I have seen in other forums that some have posted their cancellation was due to "as requested" instead of "unforeseen circumstances". Nervous as my approx. completion date is in April 2020 but I have read other stories where theirs has been pushed drastically and are still awaiting oath.

Here's some additional info:
-Applied using 5 year permanent resident rule (PR status since 1995)
-No open citations, all closed
-no arrests, been detained or any criminal history
-no marriage/name change since filed or at all
-passed interview (per IO and document)

Hoping anyone can provide some insight if they've had a similar experience.

I-797 Notice of Action for Online Applicants?
Hello everyone,

I submitted my N400 app this month, so I am pretty much a newbie compared to other ppl here.
The submission was made online and my location is Baltimore, MD.

I read somewhere that when you submit the N400, you get a I-797 notice shortly after as a receipt notice.
I never got this I-797 form, and I was wondering if they don't send out these forms for on-line applicants as I got my receipt notice on-line with my case number/receipt number on it (its not just in the format of I-797 that I know).

And how long does it take for a biometrics appointment notice to go out? I have an important business trip in early Feb and I would like to walk in as soon as I receive the notice.

Thank you for the help in advance guys.

San Antonio Oath Ceremony 2020
I had my citizenship interview approved on 01/15/2020. (San Antonio, TX)
I am going to move soon, and I know if I change my address, the oath ceremony is going to be delayed.
The guy told me, you are going to getting a letter in 3 weeks.
Does anyone know when are the next ceremonies? Are there any specific dates?

BTW, I don't have a name change request.
Thank you.

Portland Oregon Experience
Hello Everyone,

personally, I filed in August 2019 and for some reason my application had been postponed twice, first it was pushed to say Completion time is May 2020 and now it is saying June 2020. This is very frustrating for me and I would like to know if these times are really accurate or not? Should I expect another postpone for my application or what? Anyone who can share experience regarding the accuracy of this completion time would be highly highly appreciated !!!

Thanks in advance
