N400 submission in Baltimore.Md
Hello!!
i submitted my n400 online few days ago, and i realized after submitting the form that i made some mistakes! any idea on how i should correct them?? Or i should wait until my interview to notify the IO? Thoughts??
hi to all, im here in google doing research about the naturalization and i see that new york waiting is like a year or even more. can anyone from manhattan office field share their time line please.
do you think if i move to another state that has less waiting time and applied there will be a good idea?
also if i pass the test and officer doesn't say that you are approve but it does say that i pass the test , can the officer denied my application after passing the test?
and how long i have to wait after the oath ceremony to petition my dad.
can i send my application 90 days before the 5yr green card?
thanks for your input
Any Sep-2019 filers for Greer South Carolina field office.
Filed mine together with wife on 09/15, Bio-metrics done on 10/09, wife got the interview schedule notification on 11/18 while I am still waiting. Is this normal, can somebody of Greer SC field office share their experience
Hi all
i had combo N-400/I-751 interview about one month ago.
All went well in interview, spouse came with me.
No decision was made on day.
Couple weeks ago notification I-751 approved and i have now got the 10yr GC in mail.
No update on N-400, status reads still "we scheduled your interview"
i hope N-400 would approve and get oath soon after I-751 approval.
anyone similar experience to this?
Hi
I had my interview scheduled for April 9 2019 but on that day I received a phone call in the morning from the officer and I was asked to not come as my file a didnt arrive from the warehouse and they told me that I will have a reschedul very soon (the lady was very nice) after that I waited and waited with no further notice from her I tried to call her (She wasn't nice anymore) and now it has been 8 months already without hearing back although I submitted few requests with no income back and I am just wondering if anyone here experienced that and what happened at the end
Question, Experience .Decision not made (Decision not made N400 Interview)
Hi ,
I went for my citizenship interview at the Baltimore office after 5 years of getting my green card. I actually was divorced from my US citizen spouse and was remarried at the time of the interview. The IO went back to my old green card file and asked questions about my previous marriage. He even questioned my previous marriage for 10 years. Also asked questions about my current spouse. He was nice by the way. I passed the civics and history test, i have no criminal record, no traffic violations have a descent job but he gave me a form which said decision cannot be made. I am so worried. Has anyone had such an experience? Please advise . This journey has been so hectic.
I am in line for OATH and my wife’s OATH is on Monday 12/23. Since I will accompany her, can I ask them if I could do on same day. Would that workout ?
I will like to share my experience

8.17.19: Applied for citizenship
9.17.19: Biometrics
12.17.19: interview
Oath taking will be scheduled next month according to the Officer.
My experience was very good especially at the interview. I thought that it will be hard. To give you a background, I have been an LPR for 20 yrs, studied in my country for 5 yrs and so I had to go back and forth to keep my immigration status. After graduating, I came back here and worked until just last yr I had to resign due to my pregnancy. I also had debt collections and civil citations for which my lawyers are taking care of it under the Legal protection program. In short my record was not that clean compared to the other LPR.
To answer some questions in the previous post:
1. USCIS will not look at civil courts or citation, just your criminal records and traffic citation.
2. Unemployment has no bearing
3. Travel history is important especially if it is within their criteria of 5 yrs. They did not ask me about my previous travels. Only the valid 5 yrs.
The officer that interviewed me on my Civics asked 6 questions if you pass all of it.
1. Rights of a US citizen - vote in a federal election
2. # of senators- 100
3. # amendment- 27
4. Pledge of allegiance- to the US and flag
5. Vice President- Mike Pence
6. If President is removed- VP becomes president.
Of course, for every interview is different but mine was great! 10 minutes and done. Just study, know your n-400 and you'll be fine.

11/05/2019 interview day!
Scheduled at 12:40pm, I showed up at 12:10pm, went through the security, waited until 1pm, they finally called my name. The officer waited for me at door number 1, then lead me to her office, she asked me 6 civic questions( study those 100 questions hard, you won’t have any trouble), then reading and writing on her iPad. Then she goes over the N400 application with me, ask me details about me, my husband and my job. The last part was the YES/NO questions, she asked every single one of them real quick, finally she said I pass!!! She print an instruction for me, about the oath ceremony, then walk me back to door number 1. Total was like 20 minutes.
11/20/2019 we scheduled your oath ceremony on 12/11/2019
12/11/2019 oath ceremony!
Scheduled at 7am, I showed up at 6:10am, there were already long lines front of me, we started check in at 6:50pm. Then waited 3 hours until the judge came, the ceremony begin. There were 1920 people from 112 countries became new citizens that day. Total process was like 30 minuets. Then I went back to the table where I checked in and picked up my certificate.
12/13/2018~12/11/2019 total 364 days! If I didn’t reschedule twice, it would be two month faster. So I’d say 10 month, that’s my own experience here in Houston, TX. Hope this would help, if you have any questions feel free to contact me. Good luck!
