Hurray..... my time is now
Hi Friends. thanks to everyone in this forum for valuable post and suggestions. Special mention to @trigmo. I think the formula worked for me well. Late but it worked.

FO: SJC, CA
Date: March 25 2021
Bio reused: April 15th 2021
Filed FOIA: March 22 2022
Interview Scheduled: April 26 2022
Interview Schedule: May 25 2022

I very sure FOIA pushed my case. Note: I field paper based application so FOIA makes more sense i guess.

Please advise on interview prep and doc required.

Wishing everyone all the best... Stay blessed..

Help needed for N400 application
Hello
I've few questions as here people help each other with knowledge and advise.
1. I'm going to apply for N400 on OCT 2023 (complete 5 years as LPR). I heard from someone i can apply before 6 months, is that right ?
2. Moving to any state which has less processing time can help me to get fast interview or oath ceremony?
3. Is online application for N400 still has same processing time depends on state or it has different timeline?
Thank you in advance whoever can guide me through some questions.

N-400 18 months Pending
Hello,

Here is my timeline :

Applied for my N-400 application online in September 7, 2020
( October 1st I got notified that my 10 years green card is approved and it’s shipped to my address)

Biometric resued around Feb 2021 ( for n400)

Here where it gets fun :

Around late June I got noticed that on July 26, 2021 is going to be the date for my scheduled interview for N400.

July 13, 2021 I got notified that my interview got canceled ( for july 26, 2021)

On july 23, 2021 I opened my mailbox and found a notice for an interview scheduled on july 19, 2021!!! ( the envelope shows the date that it arrives to mail postal office distribution on July 21, 2021 so it wasn’t a lost or delayed by post office) .

On the uscis my case website it shows only that on July 13, 2021 my interview was canceled till TODAY! ( no mention for the second interview scheduled by error ). So i was like let me know go to the intial interview scheduled on July 26,2021 and see if it will works and then I’ll explain what happened! I went and they said your name is not there for today’s interview and it shows we canceled your appointment and you have to wait to be rescheduled. I said what about the other interview that was sent to me she said it might be an error i would give it a month or two and then you’ll hear back from us!

Its been 9 months and i have applied for 3 inquiries they all mentioned that its a background check and you have to wait! I replied back how is a background check is still even though i was scheduled for an interview and got canceled 9 months ago! No answers till now!

I think its time for attorney! Or any other legal action i can take to avoid the cost of attorney?

Self filing N400 online?
Hello! I've always used an attorney to file my prior petitions and I still have I-751 pending. I will be eligible for N400 in May and was wondering if it's worth it to hire an attorney still. Please share your experience and expertise - anything is appreciated!!

Citizenship N400
I have question,
Is it possible to travel after 9 months of filling for citizenship online. I didn’t travel too much since I moved to the US. If I travel would this affect my interview? Does anyone travelled while his/her N400 in process. I know some field are fast to process and some are slow.
Btw I live in Minnesota.
Please share your experience.

Decision cannot be made
Hello, I had my citizenship interview today, I thought it went well but the officer gave me an interview result sheet saying a decision cannot be made today. I am confused. Anyways, came home and went online to look for answers. I also went on the USCIS site and plugged in my application receipt and it says: Oath Ceremony will be scheduled - We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt. Does this mean that on my way home she made a decision and approved my application? Or is this what everyone sees after they go through their interviews? Just trying to find answers...
