N400 Submissions
Dear friends

We submitted our N400 applications on Feb 26, 2021 and USCIS receipt was received dated March 31, 2021, this followed with a notice of re-use of our biometrics. Since its receipt, the estimated time line for processing was indicated as 15 months. Subsequently, with 4 months remaining as on 31st January, 2022, suddenly the time line was changed to 8 months. Today it shows 7 months. I am from Folsom, which comes under Sacramento County. This is very strange unusual for extending it further.

I would like to know if any of our member group are also facing the same situation like us from Sacramento County field office , as in my case it is going to be almost 18 months after submission.

Thank you all in advance

Need info
I filed N 400 ( marriage based 3-year )through my attorney. My application was delivered on 02/22/22. He only included copies of Green card (front and back) and a copy of the dismissed case. I provided him with many supporting documents, but he said we do not submit those documents, and they do not need to be submitted. They are just brought to the interview in case they become necessary. However, after reading many posts on the forums, I found that many people recommend sending supporting documents along with the application. I was wondering, after sending the petition by mail, is there a possibility to upload the documents using USCIS online Account? Is it recommended to upload the supporting documents or just take them to the interview? I am concerned that my case might be delayed because my lawyer only sent copies of the green card and case dismissal document. I feel that if I provide more documents, it might help avoid case processing delays and RFE. Please advise

N400 and I751
Good Morning All. My Journey finally comes to its end . I applied for Naturalization through military in April 2021. However , i was told to apply for the 10 years green card as well so i could keep working etc. Here is my timeline . Atlanta Filer(Texas center). July 2021: uscis received my i751 . November 2021: use of old biometric. January 2022: i received an email from a uscis regarding my N400. A military form was wrong and i needed to submit it again. February 5 2022: Military form sent, Naturalization interview scheduled. February 24,2022: Interview done, oath done and certificate has been received . i was told that i should come with my husband for the interview since i was doing the I751 as well. However the officer told me on that day ,he didn’t need him. i was only questionned about my n400. The interview lasted only 10minutes then i had the ceremony 2 hours later. I was told that they will send me the 10 year green card but i will need to send it back since i am a Citizen now. Thank you all for your help. I wish everyone the best of luck. Don’t give up …

Prior spouse legal name ( part 10 number 9.)
Am about filling the N-400 , the section about prior spouse legal name , should I write my prior spouse name before marriage or her name after marriage . Because when filling I-485, it specifically stated prior spouse name before marriage . But N-400 does not states that . So I am confused if I should write prior spouse name before marriage or her name after marriage ?? I need input please

Name Change in MANHATTAN NYC?
Hi guys

I just submitted my N400. I live in midtown Manhattan in NYC and will likely have my interview at Federal Plaza. I am requesting to change my name.

I have two questions: will it delay my Oath ceremony significantly by me requesting a name change? Also, will my Oath ceremony have to be at a different location (so obviously not same day of interview)? Thanks in advance!

N-400 / Los Angeles, CA / Timeline
I have been a GC holder/Permanent Resident for over 5 years, and I had received my GC through an EB-1A.
I have sent my N-400 petition at the beginning of June 2021, which marked the 5th anniversary of my GC issue date.

This is my petition status to date:

06/03/2021 - Sent N-400 application via FedEx from Los Angeles, CA to Phoenix, AZ office.
06/04/2021 - Application received by USCIS office in Phoenix, AZ.
06/10/2021 - Received notice of biometrics reuse from my previous I-485.

As of today, February 22nd 2022, USCIS website states: Estimated time* until case decision: approx. 5 months

Not sure when I'll be receiving the interview notification.
Anyone else of the Los Angeles, CA petitioners waiting this long?
250 days (8+ months) have passed so far.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

N400
Is it better to file N400 in the mail or online, can imagine you have to upload 3year worth of documentation, how is the process, which is faster to get a interview
