Further to my earlier posts, I would like to contact the USCIS officer to know why the waiting limit has increased from 4 months to 8 months. I am keeping patient as advised by the members. In case If I need to contact the USCIS officer just to know whether t my file is with NBC or sent to my field office SAcramento. My Receipt number stars with IOE. I do not know which service center this IOE refers. I submitted by application by post to USCIS Cell, Phoenix, Arizona

Grateful if some one guide me as how to talk top a USCIS officer when I call the general number and with which option we choose to get the officer to have a word.

As indicated in my previous post that USCIS had increased my waiting time from 4 months to 8 months this week. Really getting frustrated with USCIS prolonging the waiting limit . Can I send a message through USCIS message box, jut to know why the waiting time was increased to 8 months when we are eagerly waiting for 4 months. By sending this message , will it have any negative impact on my processing. Just to know the experiences of members who are facing a situation like me.

N400 Interview Experience - Baltimore Field Office
I wanted to share my experience since I found very little information specific to the Baltimore field office.

My timeline was as following:

July 12th 2021 - my application was received.
January 12th 2022- Interview was scheduled
February 14th 2022- Interview date
February 14th 2022 -Oath Ceremony was Mailed

Since receiving my interview notice I was researching whether the Baltimore field office did same day oath ceremony. Here's my experience and what I observed while being in the field office:

My interview was set for 1:30 PM. I arrived to the field office at 1:00PM. I had read that due to Covid they would not let you in until 15 mins prior to your appointment time, but they allowed me to go in and check in. Once you have checked in you wait in an area until your name or ticket number is called. I waited about an hour before my name was called. The interview itself lasted 20 mins maximum.

The civics part was first. These are the questions they asked me, I can only remember 5 out of the 6 I was asked:

1. What is an Amendment?
2. What do we call the first 10 Amendments?
3. When do we celebrate Independence day?
4. What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence?
5. What is the name of the President of the United States now?

I answered all 6 correctly, so then we moved to the reading and writing portion. I had to read the following, "Who elects Congress?". I had to write, "The people elect Congress".

The rest was just reviewing the information on the application. Was asked about any additional trips outside of the country since filling my application. After the interview the immigration officer gave me a piece of paper that states I passed the English test and U.S. history and government test Then on the second half of the page it was marked on "Congratulations! your application has been recommended for approval. The officer gave me instructions, to wait back in the lobby to be called to a window to schedule a date for my Oath ceremony. No same day ceremony was available but they did schedule me for one that was two days away.

Hope this helps anyone that is currently waiting or going through the process.

Help estimating N-400 processing times
I am about to start applying for N400 for my parents and I am very confused on what to expect next. How long does it take from application to fingerprinting? How long does it take for an interview to be setup? The trackers seem to be all over the place. I see posts saying anything from the entire process taking a month to the process taking over an year. Any pointers? I will be applying from Charlotte,NC.

Thanks!

N400 Interview and Oath Ceremony- same day (Newark NJ)
This forum had helped me so I thought to share;

November 8 2021- Applied for my N400 online using the 5 year rule (86 days before 5 year mark just to be safe and not too early).
November 8 2021- Receipt notice received online.
November 8 2021- Biometric reuse notice.
January 7 2022- Interview was scheduled.
February 14 2022- Interview and Oath ceremony done. Interview took 15 minutes, staff was amazing and very efficient. Oath ceremony was 2 hours later.
February 14 2022- Applied for US passport right after the ceremony. Made an appointment 3 weeks prior to N400 interview with USPS.

Thankful my immigration journey has come to an end. I wish everyone the best of luck!

I would like to get some help . When I post my experiences, some of the members give their responses in response to my experience.

In reply, how do I thank them for their useful replies or suggestions. When I click” Reply” against their response, it is asking me to re-log in and post in the “Add experiences.”

I would be happy to receive some guidance

N-400 Interview no update pending i-751
Hi,
I had my citizenship interview on 2/7/2022. I have i-751 application pending since 12/02/2020 last update was case transferred to another office. When I had my N-400 interview they did not ask anything about my i-751. At the interview immigration officer told me I have passed my citizenship interview, but another office has to remove my conditions on green card, and they will send me written decision to my address. I asked the officer I have more supporting documents for i-751 application. She said you do not anymore, I reviewed you have enough. I would like to know anybody has same scenario. How long do I have to wait for the oath or 10 years green card? I am from NYC and field office Queens, NY.

Thank you all for your submissions on my issue. Sorry to note that some of them are also in my boat facing the same situation. I really do not know how USCIS conducts their services, as some applicants received their interviews within just a week after submissions.

One of the respondents indicated that that I would receive a letter soon” in response to my case submission

I would be grateful, if I get a bit more clarification on what type of Letter I would be getting
