N-400: Naturalization interview
Hello everyone,

The civic test part is multiple choices (in front of a computer) or the immigration officer will ask you questions. I don't know if they changed system of testing you during covid.

Field location: New York

Thank you!

N400 July/Aug 2021 filers in VA/DC
Hi all,

Has anyone who filed at the end of July/early August in the DC area gotten their interview date yet? I saw on the tracker that some folks who applied at the start of July have gotten January interview dates. So hopefully USCIS is processing and making their way down the list. Fingers crossed and good luck to all!

Pending reckless driving charge and Citizenship Interview
I have my n400 citizenship interview coming up in Feb, 2022. However, i have pending reckless driving charge (traffic) court date in March, 2022. It's likely my n400 interview will be combo including the pending i751, the pending i751 was recently to moved to a new office. I filed for the i751 in Aug 2020, and the n400 in Aug 2021. The n400 is based on 3 year rule and my wife and i are still together. I have provided enough documentation for both processes including information about our daughter who was born in sept 2020.

I have an attorney who's handling my pending reckless driving charge. I recently completed a driving improvement clinic course based on his advise and have +5 points on my driving record in Virginia. I do not have any criminal or bad driving record before or after this incident.

1. How will the pending reckless driving charge - traffic (wrong overtaking at wrong place), no injuries or death affect my n400 and i751 interview coming up in Feb. 2022 ?
Remember, court date for the reckless driving is in March 2022.

2. Is it advisable to find an accuse to propone the citizenship interview date

3. Do i need to have the new court date paper work from my attorney handling my reckless driving ?

4. Do i need to let my attorney handling my reckless driving charge know about my upcoming n400 + i751 interview ?

5. What other advise or suggestion do you guys have for me for something like this ?

NOTE: I do not have a lawyer for the citizenship case. I prepared the n400 and i751 case myself.

Finally Done With Citizenship
Hello Friends, I finally got my citizenship and I would like to thank the immihelp community for their support and guidance.

This is my journey;
2005 - Came as a student
2012- Was sponsored by a employer for H1-B
2016 Married to a US citizen
2017 - Got my temporary green. I applied for the Green in September of 2016 and the process was taking for ever and then I contacted my local Congress Woman (Elise Stephanik) and her office reached out to the immigration services and I got my temporary green card instantaneously. This was very helpful because I wanted to switch jobs.
November 2019 - Applied for citizenship.
We were having issues with our marriage and she decided sh wants to end the marriage. Separated January 2020.
October 2020- interview for citizenship. Got rejected because applied under the three year rule.
USCIS did not sent me the rejection letter by May of 2021 and I reached out to Congress Woman’s office. Got the rejection letter in two weeks. This was very important because without the rejection letter I could not apply the citizenship under the 5 year rule.
Applied for Citizenship in October 2021, interview on January 10, 2022 and oath on January 14, 2022.

Moral of the story, Patience is the key!! Also, if you run into roadblocks reach out to your Congress Member they are very helpful and it is free. BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR JOURNEY!!!
