06/22/2010-Interview-went to office half an hour early. After security formalities we were seated in waiting hall.Exactly at appointed time ie.7.40A.M.the officer took me inside his chamber & made me to take oath.Another officer was called in to sign as a witness. Then asked me to write& read simple sentence.Asked me 6 civil questions which I answered correctly.Went through the appln. column wise& got clarified from me.After taking my signatures on photoes & other papers he gave me N-652 with the following ticked.
1.Pl. follow the instructions on the form N-14,which stated" YOUR FINGER PRINTS ARE NOT REDABLE> YOU NEED TO SUBMIT POLICE CLEARANCE FOR THE 5 Yrs FROM LOCAL PLOICE.
2.A decision can't yet be made on your appln
I was wondering why did not he mention that I have passed the TEST which is known to me.I did not question the officer thinking that may be their procedure. When I thanked the officer while exiting, he told me that I will get OATH letter once I sumit police report.Immediately I went to the local police record office submitted Form N-14. It took hardly 10 min. to get the police clearance.I submitted the same immediately in person.

N-400 Check Cashed But No Receipt Number
I sent in my N-400 Application Friday June 4, 2010. 12 days later and I have not yet received anything from USCIS, including a confirmation that my application was received. Today, June 16 2010, I noticed through online banking that they cashed my check this morning. But I still haven't received a receipt number. Is this normal, any thoughts?

About my citizenship interview, need help!
I applied my citizenship March 22th. And I had my finger print on April 11th and my interview took place on May 27th.

Everything went smooth during the interview until the end. The officer saw my last trip to my country is 179 days. She said she need looked close to this and counted the date. She wrote down the stamp dates on my visa. I asked her if the first date and the last date is counted as well. She said they were. So actually the total date is 180 days. But she takes the stamp date on my paqssport, because of 12 hours time zone difference, the trip is 179 days. She doesn't say too much just say I should not be too close to the cutting days. I thought it was 6 months according to their website.

She chekced the future decision will be made in the form. Also she said I should get the letter about ceremony in two weeks (but she mentioned it before she said she would check the 180 days trip.

It has been over 2 weeks, and I heard nothing. I started worrying about it?

Any suggestion? Help? Or similiar experience sharing? which date will she take to check my date? if she thinks the trip is 180, does it void the continuous residence? Why they don't list it as 180days but 6 months?

Any reply is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Oath Letter
I passed my interview on May 04 and received the congrat. letter from IO. I have a name change request with my application. The IO told me that I should receive the oath letter in two weeks. After almost three weeks, I have yet to receive the oath letter. I am now kinda aware that the name change will delay the process. Has anybody experienced similar delay? How long can it be? Thanks,

Hello,
Both my wife and I interviewed in Irving, Dallas service center on April 30th, 2010. Both passed. Usually, in Irving center, you can participate in oath on the same day. But bad luck! That day their computer was not working. We passed and the forms were marked congratulations! Both officers told us that we should receive oath letters in three weeks. But no letter although we are now in the 3rd week of may. Any advice?
