N400
I filed my n400 applicaton based on being a lawful permanent resident for 5 yrs.
7/13/2009 -> mailed out N400 application
7/16/2009 -> application received by department of homeland security
8/12/2009 -> fingerprint appointment at NJ application center
I wonder how long I'll have to wait for the interview. I think I'm gonna start reviewing the civic questions now even though I know most of it; just need to brush up on the details. They are not just for the test, as a US citizen, it's important to possess basic civic knowledge.

Citizenship interview in Dallas with a driver license from another state
I moved to Texas from Tenn. two years ago. I'll have my citizenship interview in the Dallas field office in three weeks. Now I have a valid Tenn. driver license. It takes about two months to get a Texas driver license. Not sure I'll have any problem during the interview. Would those who were recently interviewed in Dallas share your experiences? I called USCIS but got different answers. Most of them say no problem.

Thanks.

David

Citizenship
My citizenship was filed in Jan 09
Received fingerprint appt in March
Interview notice for June
Oath letter in July.

I had some issues, due to an arrest that was dismissed by the court (drug offense). Do not make the same mistake I did.
I have been a permanent resident for over a decade, however, Immigration law is harsh on arrest, big or small. Even after dismissal, there was a risk of me being removed.
You should see an attorney that specialized in both Criminal and Immigration Law.
Good Luck

Interviewed!!!
I got my Interviewed last june 18, 2009 (8:05 am) the officer was so kind and friendly. She reviewed my entire N-400 application after that she asked me below:
1. To read a sentence
2. To write a sentence
3. 3 civics questions and that's it she said to me I passed. In the afternoon same day was the oath taking. but still it depends on the officer's mood I can say that i was lucky coz' of the people I talked to that day they said they asked like 6 or more questions. so, again it depends on the officer.
as long as you know the civics and your applcations are all okey everything goes very fine. god bless us all!!!
