Can someone please help me answer this question about 5 yrs rule? I and my wife both have now completed 5 yrs on GC and I applied for naturalization back in Feb'21. We got the notice that biometrics will be reused and waiting now to be called for interview. My wife had stayed for almost 8 months out of the country back in 2018 as she couldn't travel back after a visit due to medical conditions, however, I continued my stay here and she maintained her bank a/c, name on the lease, etc. during that period and have submitted tax returns, lease agreement, etc. as additional info while filing N400 online for all the 5 years which bears both of our names.
Now that, N400 has been accepted and biometrics reused, does it mean that I shouldn't be worried about the 8 months stay outside (which potentially can be treated as a break in the physical presence rule unless evidenced) or is it the responsibility of interviewer to validate this information before approving the citizenship? Really appreciate if anyone has an understanding of how this will be treated.

Thank God I am officially citizen of this Great Nation
June 1 = passed my citizenship interview ( New York)
June 9 = scheduled for oath
Today June 20 = I went to the ceremony and thank 😊God.

Can an agent delay your application on purpose?
Let's say the agent doesn't like you or you have an argument during the interview where you object to a few things and do not get approved right away, just as an example.
Trying to understand what margins of power these agents have.

Journey its over, Finally a US Citizen!!
Hello everyone!
I would like to share my experience with all of you that still waiting on your cases to be done, trust me I know how you feel,
and this forum helped me so much in those moments when I felt so frustrated in the waiting time.
anyway I am so thankful the waiting time is over and now I am an American!
I know you want to know my time line and how did the interview go, so here it go...
I had my I751 pending when I applied for N400 because i was already due to apply sine i have been a resident for 3 years and still married to a US citizen
time line:
I751 submitted in July 2019
bios Feb 2020
N400 submitted in Sept 2020
bios re used from I751
when N400 was submitted few days later my I751 change to: case was transferred to another jurisdiction
in May 2021 I got a letter about my interview being scheduled for June 16th
the interview day Me and my husband got there like 30 min prior the time of interview, security didn't let him in
they said I could call him if needed. so I went in myself and waited like 20 min to be called. once I was called
I went into the officer cubical, she was super nice and friendly, she noticed that my I751 was pending and said that she was going to take care of
them that moment, i was so happy to heard that because I imagine maybe they were not gonna have a response that day because my I751,
she swore me and then she started to ask civic questions ( cant recall which ones )
anyway so we were just having a conversation like if we were becoming friends, didn't ask to much about all the proof and paper work I brought in with me
I had a package of copies of all my proof ( lease, joint accts info, insurance info, stimulus check letters with both of our names, bills, holyday cards, pictures, screenshot of txts etc.. ) i gave her that and she was thankful and said she wishes everyone do that all the time. anyway after that she went over to another office for like 5-10 min she said her system was down, when she cam back she ask me to sign on the ipad if all my info was right so the can send the info to print my certificate, I was like, so you mean i got my citizenship approved? she said, yes congratulations! I was so happy when I heard that! the she sent me to the other floor for my oat ceremony. which the ceremony only lasted like 5 min and i was handed the certificate. end of the story!!!!! btw we never call my husband to come up which I thought we would have to since everything was because I am still married and I was qualified to applied to both due to that.
anyway!!! i hope this give you some hope, hang in there, I know how terrible it feels sometimes but your day its coming!!!
