I passed my citizenship Interview in Sacramento today!
I passed my citizenship interview. YAY - This forum helped me so much while I was waiting for my interview. Thank you all. Here is my experience from today.
The interview went really quickly compared to getting into the building and waiting to be called in.
I was there 15 minutes early as per letter, went through a covid screening and then TSA type security check and was send to the second floor.
2 more check points before I could sit and wait. I waited maybe 15 minutes. I was called by a really nice female officer.
We walked to her office, she asked me to to remain standing and swear to tell the truth, nothing but the truth so help me god....
Then she asked me to sit and to hand over my GC, Passport and DL and proceeded with asking me my name and such... after personal info, she asked the civics questions.
1. We elect a US Representative for how many years
2. Name one American Indian tribe in the United States
3. Who is the "Father of our Country"?
4. What is the capital of your state?
5. Name one state that borders Canada
6. What did Susan B. Anthony do?
After that she asked me to ready the sentence on the tablet "Who elects Congress?
And to write "The people elect Congress".
The officer proceeded to go though my application.... the only thing that had changed was my husbands employer, she made a not of that and carried on with a few "NO" questions from part 12, followed by the "Yes" questions. Then she asked me to check my details on the tablet, to make sure everything is spelled correctly and she said congratulations, you have passed your interview.
You will receive a letter for your oath ceremony within the next 10 days or so.
She gave me back my GC, Passport and DL and a paper stating that I passed the interview and that I am recommended for approval.
Phew. So happy. The officer was really nice, I said, you could have asked me all 100 questions, she laughed and said, I know, I can tell, but a lot of people don't study its really sad.
I didn't practice for writing or reading, as I write and read all the time.
Please study the civics question, we need to know all these things regardless of how many questions they ask.
I hope this helps someone else.
Looking forward to the oath ceremony next. I love this country!

Seattle N-400 Interview
Any Seattle N-400 applicants get their interviews scheduled recently? My file date is Feb 12, 2020 and aside from biometrics in Sep 2020, I haven't gotten any communication. I am seeing on other forums (e.g. VJ) that some N-400 applicants from April 2020 or June 2020 are getting interviews so wondering if I need to follow-up with USCIS.
