I work as a PhD student in a biomedical research institute. Visa officer (VO) took ONLY my CV and she told me they will get back to me in 3 weeks. The VO also told me she doesn't see anything wrong with my application. What a lie! I am financially stable with a long term work contract (until 2022) but none of that mattered because I work in biomedical related area. Basically, I work on a computer without access to any specialised hardware or sensitive technology. I can't fathom how I can be a threat, especially on a visitor visa.

Went for my H1 interview on 31st March. Usual questions from the VO about where i work, salary details, if i primarily do research, and my education etc. Collected by CV and passports and told me that my passport will be ready for collection in 2 to 3 weeks. It's been 3 weeks now and nothing yet!
A bit of background: I have a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology, working as an assistant professor in the US. I have been hit with 221g every time i have applied for a visa.

Hi all,
I had my interview on the 1st of June 2017 at the Chennai consulate. The interviewer asked me what research I will be doing. I replied saying that I will be working on the adaptations of populations. She then asked me what research I've been doing and I replied saying that I have worked with toxic resistance in insects. She then asked me for a CV which I didn't have with me. She also asked me if I was doing research for which I said "yes, from the past 5 years". She handed out a blue 221g form and said "everything else checks out, we will contact you today or tomorrow" for more documents. She also said that I don't need to re-visit the center. She didn't tell me which mail to send it to either.

Went for my H1 interview on 26th June 2018. Usual question from the VO about where I work, salary details and my education etc. Then he said he can't issue visa now, gave me a 221g blue slip with “Your visa is refused for administrative processing" and said there is discrepancy in your profile and passport returned.
During interview with VO I have submitted all experience letter. But current company offer letter joining date mentioned as wrongly and I convey same thing to VO. Is this any problem to issue visa?
I have submitted following document: Client Letter, LCA, I-797B and other required document.
