He kept my passport and handed me a blue slip for administrative processing. I work for a big finance firm in NYC as a developer. Was hired directly after my masters. First time stamping. Case updated on CEAC website on 19th December saying - Administrative Processing. No clue why this happened.
Any estimate when my case shall be resolved?

Spouse and I went for our visa stamping at Kolkata consulate on Nov 30. Spouse's H1B was approved, but my H4 was kept under administrative processing. They asked me resume, research, publications, funding and contact info to be sent to [email protected] which i did on Dec 1st. I have been waiting since. Case status update date changed from Nov 30 to Dec 8th, however, the status still says under administrative processing. Anyone willing to be in touch, pls let me know. It helps

I had applied for H1B stamping. At the interview I was asked
1) Name
2) marital status
3) my master's project and more follow up questions to confirm if was part of any security related project - and answered no to all of them
Got 221(g) blue slip. Post my interview received a follow up email to email employment verification documents, and I sent the documents the next day. I am yet to hear from the consulate folks.
