I had interview on 15th Dec, 2017 and seems like there was some confusion whether I was direct employee of petitioner or not and hence asked to submit documents via email from ME and Employer in one single email, total size shouldn't exceed 5 MB. We submitted everything in 2 business days and still waiting. Current status is still "Admin Processing". I already had stamping done without any issue for same employer and same consulate 2.5 years back. This was for extension. Any idea what are the chances and any possible expected time?

USCIS F1 to H1 transfer approved with H1 starting Oct 1st.
Had a good interview - VO said visa approved but needed some more information. Got a white slip and submitted all docs within 2 hours. (I was expecting this and came prepared).
Three weeks since the interview today and no update.
11/15 - Interview, 221G & docs submitted
12/6 - CEAC status date updated, still AP
12/11 - Email to submit passport by support@usatraveldocs
12/12 - Passport submitted to Delhi VAC
12/13 - Passport delivered to Embassy
12/14 - CEAC status date changed, still AP
12/15 - Issued
Anyone else in this boat? Never before did the VO say "approved" and then its taken 3 weeks...

Interviewee said visa was approved but once I came back after paying the reciprocity fee she said they were having technical difficulties so my visa would get ready in two more business days. She asked when I am traveling back to US, and when I answered she said the passport will probably arrive back by then, I am suppose to travel back next week...
I have not received any 221(G) but my status says "Administration Processing" first updated on December/20 and now on December/28.

Dec 21st 2017 - Received e_mail to collect the passport
Dec 24th 2017 - Collected passport. Was surprised to see 221 g (blue slip) asking me attend an interview at the Chennai conslate
Dec 26th 2017 - Attended interview. Asked basic questions about the company I work for, the type of projects, location etc. VO collected my passport. Was informed there won't be any further interview and will be notified soon about the Visa status.
Was checking my status thriugh the CEAC website for the past few days. No update yet

Went for my first H1B visa stamping post F1-OPT. I'm a post doc in the life sciences and the VO asked me questions about where I work, what I work on, salary and visa status timeline from PhD graduation up to H1B application. He asked to look at my CV and immediately returned it. Following this he told me my case requires admin processing. He didn't ask for additional docs and didnt retain (or even look at) any of my documents. Looks like most 221G cases have been asked for further documentation. I'm curious to see if other folks have encountered an experience similar to mine and if so what was their timeline to receiving their Visa?

My Background:
This is my second H1b stamping (First outiside India in 2013). I'm currently into 5th year of H1b. Did my masters in US. I also have my I-140 approved with 2014 Priority Date. I'm working for the same employer since my graduation and currently working in EVC model.
21-Nov: Visa Interview; issued 221(G) and retained client letter. No other documents were asked.
15-Dec: Client replied back to the questionnaire received.
26-Dec: Asked to submit passport. For the first time case last updated date changed from 21-Nov to 26-Dec and status still in AP
27-Dec: Submitted passport at Hyd VAC
28-Dec: Last updated date changed from 26-Dec to 28-Dec, status still in AP
04-Jan: Last updated date changed from 28-Dec to 04-Jan, Status changed to Issued.
Hope my experience will be helpful for someone. One thing I learnt is as long as you have all documents your visa will be issued, its just matter of time. Be patient and enjoy your India trip. You rarely get these kind of long trips.

My case is f1->h1 and came to india first time during h1. I was asked basic questions about f1 visa and h1 visa and was given 221 g white slip with no docs asked.
Posting this so that it would be helpful for others to track the wait times. Here are my timelines
