I and my wife appeared for interview on 5 DEC 2017, VO asked some basic questions like employer, location , salary and designation.
VO was typing something in system and then he just went inside and came after 3-4 min then gave a blue slip by checking "your application is refused for administrative processing. the application will be reconsidered when administrative processing is complete"
I asked him do I need to submit any other documents he said no
and I asked when will I come to know the status he said dont know and we will send email if we need anything.
He retained my family passports.
does anyone have similar case?
NO UPDATE FROM DEC 5 -DEC 20, waiting for it.

Had an interview at US consulate in Hyderabad earlier today, VO asked me basic questions like who do I work for? which city am I working? what is my annual salary? Asked if I went to US as F1 student and when I graduated and also asked if I was ever out of status when on F1 status.
Took my passport and said they may need 1-2 weeks for administrative processing, did not give me any slip or asked for any documents at the end of interview.
Has anyone faced similar situation where they went through administrative processing without any slip being issued by the Visa Officer?
Is this because the VO was not able to look at my educational history in the US or is this something else?
Update timeline:
Dec 6th - interview date
Dec 13th- CEAC website updated to 13th, still in AP
Dec 15th - CEAC updated again to 15th, and still in AP
Dec 19th - Status changed to issued on CEAC website
Dec 20th - Got notification to pick up the passport.

Timeline of my H1 Stamping
Nov 15, 2017 - Fingerprints
Nov 16, 2017 - Visa Interview, LCA and Client Letter Submission. Last update date of my case is still my interview date. I haven't seen any update on my case since then.
I work for an employer and have a vendor chain. My client received a verification email on 29th November and he responded back on the same day.
These are the questions I was asked in the interview.
1. Highest Degree
2. Salary
3. Petitioners name
4. How long have I been working with the client
VO asked me to sit outside for sometime and someone called in my name,collected my Client Letters and LCA and handed me a white slip with admin processing box checked. I was told I would receive an email if they might want to submit anything else or might receive an email to submit my passport once the verification is done.My client requires my presence onsite so im worried now.

15th Nov- 1st Dec:- H1B visa application for postdoctoral research. The VO retained passport and a copy of CV.
Haven't got any info on any additional document submission so far. Last update date as per visa status check 15th Nov 17
11th Dec:-As there was no status update or intimation for any document submission, contacted [email protected] for visa status on 11 Dec 2017. Got response that 'visa application is still under processing' and 'the passport is with Embassy/consulate'. CEAC status check still shows the last case update as the interview date.
15th Dec:- CEAC status update changed to "issued". Passport status changed to "being processed for delivery".

11/20 - Interview (H1,H4) last stamping in 2012, Returned after 5 Yrs for 2nd Stamping, 4.5 yrs with one employer, 6 months back switched employer ( working for State Department)
VO - asked reason for change, Client letter LCA - showed him all, most of the time while talking he was looking at his monitor looks like he took sometime before making decision, Returned my docs with white slip and asked me submit Client letter, LCA, I-129 to HLProcessing today it self and my case processing will start within one week.
12/7 - Client contact via email ( from Delhi consulate).
12/8 - Client replied
12/13 - evening email to submit passport.
12/14 - Passport submitted.
12/15 - Case date updated from 11/20 - 12/15. Status still AP.
12/18 - Case date updated to 11/18 - Status Issued.
12/19 - Passport ready for pickup.
Few pointers - For 2 weeks passport tracking was showing "passport still with embassy" and after 2 weeks to no status. Not sure it was sign of case progress.

I was issued 221g even after answering all questions to Consulate and he looked satisfied
For me it was 2nd time stamping for H1B in 7th year, First time it took only 5 mins at window and my VISA was approved, but this time it took around 15 mins at window and i was given 221g White slip
