VO returned passport and docs. Issued a white slip saying he needs to do some admin processing and need additional docs regarding my educational background. He said the processing will take 2 weeks (i mean obviously they tell this to everyone but it gets delayed eventually). The case last updated-status didn't change on ceac at all. It still shows interview date.
I worked in the us for the same employer for two years. Came here for emergency and got stuck. Cancelled my return flight. Begged my client manager for remote work. Just being patient and polite.
UPDATE: Passport submitted at VAC, Hyd. It is ready to be sent to the post.

No documents asked. I have followed up several times since but did not get anything besides the standard response. Its a heartless process with no way to track progress or bottleneck!!!

I was given 221g and called for fingerprints after submitting my dropbox documents in Mumbai consulate.
My case was last updated on the day i submitted my fingerprints on 11/27/2017.
Its been in administrative processing ever since.
Did anyone who submitted their documents on the same day get any response? This wait time has been painful!

Mine is dropbox case with employer change.. Got 221b Green slip after dropbox rejection and request to appear for an interview. No documents requested. Went for an interview on 27 Nov 2017. VO said visa is approved but will take 5-6 days for processing. Just regular questions asked. Questions on OPT. He took my 221g slip and my passport. Short interview - VO checked the LCA, Salary Slips, asked what I do and what did I study.
White Slip with questions like travel dates, past and current work, past research, past employers and their contacts, resume, etc.
I have a TAL background, been issued 221g 2 times earlier in 2010 and 2013 and took one month and 40 days respectively. I complete 7 weeks today and there's no update. Employer wrote to the embassy, there was no response besides the standard one. Can anyone advise what to do in this situation ?
