Returned the passport telling that it is under administrative processing and I will hear withing 02 weeks.
After 60 days No update
After 90 days again: No update
13th Sept. No update.
16th Oct.. No update. It has been more than 06 months.
Received email on 23rd Oct to submit the passport. As I needed to travel other country, so took back my passport for travel after submitting. Again submitted on 27th Nov on my return and got updated to 28th Nov. After that no update.
27th Nov. Passport submitted.
28th Nov. First update still AP
13th Dec. Issued
15th Dec. Passport collected with visa stamp

My wife transitioned from F1 to H4 and had her interview at Hyderabad on 11/20. However, VO said her application needs Administrative Processing and handed out white slip saying it wont take more than a week. Her status was in Administrative Processing until 12/5 but it changed to Application Received on 12/6. Does anyone know what it meant?

No documents were asked at that time.
Again on Sept-4 asked to submit resume,letter of invitation,
and past travel details from consulate.

No update so far and really getting worried as the days go on. Came to India due to personal emergency and got stuck now.

The Visa Officer did not ask for any documents to be submitted at the time of the Interview.
After 3 weeks received a call from the embassy to come for another interview. Went again for the Interview and this time the interview was held in a closed Cabin and there were 2 officers. The questions asked were very stern and immediately after answering 1 question another was asked back 2 back, for 30 minutes. Since i am a regular business visitor to Europe with a well established business in India i did not have a problem answering all the questions. Finally my B1 Visa was Approved.
I would just like to share wilh everyone still waiting under 221G , Please don't get disheartened, the wait is worth the while . And please understand that your Application is being processed and you should allow them to complete all formalities to their satisfaction because the very fact that you were issued the 221g slip is that they want to issue you the visa after a few clarifications and clearances.

Oct 27 - Passport returned with 221g blue slip asking to appear for interview with list of docs.
Oct 31 - attend interview with all the docs, but again got blue slip with no docs mentioned. VO said it takes few weeks.
Nov 8 - Got to know client was contacted and responded on same day.
Nov 20 - sent email to spport-india asking for status update
Nov 20 - Support team asked to submit scanned copies of all documents.
Nov 20 - Sent all docs on same day.
Nov 21 - Support team asked to submit 221g blue slip scanned copy. sent it on same day.
Nov 22 - got email from support that the case has been updated and under processing at the counslate.
Dec 8: request for passport submission.
Dec 9: Submitted the passport
Dec 13: passport picked up.

I dropped my passport in Dropbox on 10/4/2017 and issued 221(G) slip to appear for interview with some documents checked. I appeared for Interview on 10/16/17. I answered all the questions and handed over the documents asked. Last was the Client letter. After discussing with some other officer, the interviewer asked me to wait for few mins. I waited for 20 mins after then I was called at another counter to get all my W2 and payslips for last two years. She too asked me to wait. After 15 mins, the first interviewer called me and issued 221(G) saying that they need to validate my documents and to check my case status after 2 weeks.
Waiting for an update.

Hi,
I came to india for my vacation, as I am eligible for Dropbox availed the Drop box facility from Bangalore and I choose Chennai consulate, after drop box, got a mail from Chennai consulate to attend the visa interview, the Chennai consulate also mentioned to bring the document like all the payslips, end-client letter, project description, vendor agreements as I work on EVVC model, attended the interview on October 12th in the interview they examined the documents and returned the passport giving the 221g blue slip, its needs the further administrative processing.
After 25 days around November 1st week got a mail from Chennai consulate stating that " still job vacancy is there for me at client location" my employer submitted the documents
Again after 20 days, around November last week the end client got a mail from us consulate about job verification , and list of duties that I am performing at the client location, the client gave the required information to us consulate
