Interview went well with a few basic questions asked about petitioner name, client name and previous approved visa.
I was previously approved for a F1 in 2009 with a pink slip when i had to wait 3 months. When the visa officer questioned about my masters degree and field of education, there was a long pause as she was staring at her screen.
After a while she said she needs more time to make a decision and it can take 2 to 5 business days but she did mention it was approved.
No documents were asked and the blue slip (221 g) was checked for administrative processing. Today is the 6th business day and I am not sure if she was serious about the time frame.
12/09:- I haven' t heard back from the Consulate. Today can be considered the 10th business day as Chennai Us Embassy was off on Dec 7th due to the floods and they were not fully operational in the first week of December. We had interview on Oct 29th in Chennai. It was with usual process to get into the consulate and we spent 30 mins to meet the VO.
VO : who is your employer
My Husband: XXXX
VO: your specialized in?
My Husband: explained for a couple of mins. VO was asking many questions about technical (was bit shocking)
VO: asked all documents and gave yellow slip and told he needs to time to go through the documents
We were waiting in the lobby and after 15 mins, we were asked to go to the same counter
VO: asked details about the work my husband do (my husband works for aerospace design so it triggered many questions)
My husband: Explained
VO: gave back the documents & collected my husband resume and gave 221g blue slip. He said it will just take couple of weeks to do additional administrative work before he could approve the visa
CEAC status were in AP since oct 29th & status updated date changed on Nov 23rd. On 24th Nov status changed to ISSUED
All the best to all 221g waiters. good news for sure

i and my kid attended visa interview on 30th of Nov.The interview lasted for somewhere btwn 30 to 50 seconds.The VO took my husbands i797 and checked something on her machine she said she was unable to retrieve his information Also i was mentioned that she needs to check with her office in Washington.She went ahead and took a photocopy of his i797 and told that i would be getting my visa late by 3 to 5 days.
Its been 4 days and my status still shows "AP".
when can i expect.Anyone who has been through the same situation?

Hi,
I had my H1B visa stamping interview on 28th September, 2015. The Consulate had kept my passport, offer letter and approved I797 copy. It's been more than 60 days for me but no update yet. My employer had replied to the questionnaire asked by the consulate on 4th November.
I called Customer care and emailed to [email protected] but they reply with the same answer that some 221(g) process takes extra time.
I really don't know the reason behind this delay. Can anyone help or suggest something?

I got 221g white slip from new delhi US consulate VO after my visa interview on 21/10/2015
my petitioner is direct employer and there no end client involved although this small company and when VO asked me client letter I answer him there no end client and i shall be working on in house project (same as my employer had mentioned to me)
after 2 weeks of my visa interview (on 2nd Nov ) employer in US got mail with couple of queries e.g. if there any end client, applicant work location and project itinerary etc. and employer responded with all query asked like there no end client but shall be working in in-house project
and now there 6 weeks already passed and in same status of administrative processing
I'm not sure if could be an issue due to there no end client letter and mention in-house project
it would be very helpful if anyone can give me some idea or direction on my application

They kept LCA,I-129,I-797,Client letter,Service agreement ,itineray originals with them and they returned my passport.

Finally said they need to double check on my case and returned my passport with blue slip with 221(g) and asked me to check the status online.
And before I leave VO said I will return /reject(not sure if he said return or reject) your visa in 15 days.
In the blue slip VO ticked "your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made"
Please help me to understand what would happen next?

Hi ,
I applied for e3 Visa and its more than 3 months now and it's still in administrative process and I haven't received any update yet . I tried calling the consulate several times and the only thing they advised me is to track on ceac visa tracker .. Any idea how long does it take .
