Attended the interview for L1B blanket VISA on the 8th June. VO asked few questions and then said he needs to do some additional administrative processing. he took the passport, 3 copies of I-129s and I-797 and also a copy of the resume. He said it will take around 2 weeks but its almost 4 weeks now no update.

Interview - June 18th 2015 Notes: VO said everything looks well but to step to another counter where they kept my passport and I got a white 221g. Delhi seems to keep passports whereas other ones ask to submit it after. Status on Ceac said Admin. Processing (June18th)
First Status update: July 15th, 2015 - read Admin processing
Second Status update July 16th, 2015 - Issued. Notes: In most cases, it seems to be taking a day after the second update. I got an email at 2:30PM that documents are picked up from the embassy and I decided to track passport which said "ready for pickup". At this time I chatted with USA travel docs and confirmed that it was ready. Picked up dot at 4:00 PM IST. I needed a photocopy of a valid photo ID (passport, DL, pan card etc).
Seems like security clearance for TAL. Postdoctoral people beware. Allow some time when you make travel plans (4-6 weeks). Mine took complete 4.

15th July: collected the Passports for H4 and also I797.
