The VO asked me for documents I did not have at the time of the interview but submitted them later on that same day. My status on CEAC was updated the next day following the interview, but my case has been stuck in AP for almost 4 weeks now and I am freaking out. My classes start on July 20 and I was supposed to fly to the US in 4 days. I have no visa, no ticket, and no idea when I will actually be approved. I'm sure the technical issues has slowed down the processing but if only there was a date to look forward to, or at least if I knew what stage my case is being stuck on! I really regret not having my interview earlier.

I had been granted an expedited visa interview as classes are due to start on 14th August (1 month 9 days from now). I had planned my travel to the US on 27th July 2015. After a long and extremely detailed visa interview at the Chennai Embassy which went pretty well, I was pointed out that some of the details I explained about the projects I've been part of with my previous employer was not mentioned on my resume. He handed me a blue slip (221G) and asked me to email the updated resume to the embassy (I'm still confused how it relates to F1 student visa), which I had done the very same day. Is there any way to get my application processed fast as my classes starts soon. It is just a small updation in my resume, which I'm assuming wont take much time to process. The original date of interview which was given to me is July 10th. Is there a way I can attend that interview with my updated resume and i20, but no passport, as they had collected it during my expedited interview.

Scholarship in ECE PhD Program... VO asked me several questions but never asked for any proof documents... left for a minute I don't know why. Then she came back and gave me white 221(G) slip. returned passport and I-20. Statue shows 'Administrative Processing' I hope it won't take too long to issue the visa.

Summary of my case : Into 6 th year of H1B visa with approved i140. Have been working with same employer since beginning. Was issued 221g blue slip the first time i appeared for interview in 2010. I was eligible for IWP this time so dropped the documents at drop box in Bangalore on May 15th. Received my passport back with blue slip on 28th May. The blue slip had a note to appear for interview on any weekday and to bring my CV with me.So took early morning flight next day on 29th may and appeared for interview. VO asked my highest degree and pay. And then she asked my nature of job in detail. Was also asked the nature of my previous job in Kolkata before i had moved to US. At the end of 5-7 minute interview she gave me another blue slip and kept my passport and resume and told me that she will have to do administrative processing and will be completed ASAP. She also asked me when i was planning to travel to US and told me sorry that i had to cancel the tickets. Seems like a case of TAL
