221(G) Tracker

Been in the US since 2009. Was asked why I did a change of status from the US and not come back to India to get a H4. Then was asked to submit every change/extension of status for me and my wife since 2009 along with proof of school attendance while in the US also asked for proof of marriage and proof that our child was born in the US. Also asked for my wife's employment history and information regarding her employment and the company she works for. Passport was returned after the interview but was requested to be submitted along with other documents of the 221g slip. Submitted everything 02/13 embassy received documents 02/14 since them it was under AP Last action date changed to 02/28 but still in AP.

Feb 11,2020 - VO asked basic questions and asked for client letter. I gave her client letter and VO went somewhere. After 5 mins , VO came and gave 221g blue slip with no documents required. Feb 12, 2020 - Admin processing Mar 3,2020 - Status changed to Refused. Till no update

11/06/2019- Chennai VAC 11/07/2019-Consular Interview-recieved 221g blue slip for submitting the Client Letter 02/26/2020- Submitted/emailed the Client Letter to ChennaiH&[email protected] no update till now.waiting for an update.

Attended interview on Jan 17,2020 at New Delhi (no slots were available at HYD, so went to Delhi). Got 221(G) blue slip to submit more documents. 18th Jan- submitted requested docs - I-797,H1-B I-129 petition, LCA, cover letter, Client Contract Agreement,PO, Time sheets few other docs. 21st Jan - requested for PDF format. Same day sent all the documents in PDF format in 2 email..(size is more that 5MB). 30th Jan - Requested for more docs - like pay stubs, employees details of current employer. The next day I replied with all the documents. 8th Feb -- Again request for additional docs --the next day submitted all the request docs. 18th Feb -- requested additional docs -- The next day sent all the docs in a email. 6th March - Got an email to submit passports -- submitted passports same day. Waiting for the status...

Visa Interview on 23rd Jan Asked generic questions project, designation, higher degree handed 221(g) blue slip asking for invitation letter resume, publications, fund, travel history, contact info. NOTE: I am FTE and MS in Computer Engineering working as Electrical Engineer. 29th Jan: Submitted initial docs (auto response generated) 30th Jan: Email to re-submit the docs 31st Jan: Resubmitted (with no auto response), contacted [email protected] 4th Feb : I again submitted to Mumbai tech with change in name(received auto response). 4th Feb: Received confirmation from Support-India as well on receipt of docs. 28th Feb: Email for Pp submission submitted on same day. 2nd March: First time got updated after interview in CEAC, still AP. Also it changed to REFUSED for a brief time, again changed back to AP. 4th March: Issued in CEAC 5th March: Collected stamped passport. Thanks. Hope it helps all.

I had L1B blanket visa interview and issued pink slip at end of interview asking for additional document submission such as invitation letter, resume, position details, international travel last 10 years, trip funding, research and publications. Submitted additional documents on 04th Feb2020. status 24/02 is admin processing. As per received information, the Consulate typically needs 1-3 weeks to complete their review after submission, however Consulate in Chennai has the slowest turnaround time and no status inquiries are accepted within 60 days. Status - Refused on 04/03/20, no denial msg or passports returned.. Surprisingly Case Last update date shows 27Jan20. Status - Back to "Administrative Processing" back 05/03/20, Case Last updated date 05/03/20 Status - Issued on 06/03/20 on CEAC site, so far no email received for notification. Status - Received passport in hand by 9th March20.

3rd time H1 initial dropbox application was called for a follow-up interview. Attended Interview on Jan 28th with VO asking basic questions about client and employer. VO collected Employer letter, LCA and client letter and returned passport saying that processing of our application should be completed in 2 weeks.. Timeline is as below- Jan 13th- Passport submitted for dropbox Jan 16th Case created with 'Admin Processing' status Jan 23rd- Received an email to collect passport. (Collected Passport and noticed a 221g letter asking to attend a followup interview on any working day between 10-11 AM.) Jan 28th- Attended interview. Feb 12th (still in Admin processing with last update made back on Jan 28th.) Was really hoping the process would be completed in 2 weeks just as what VO officer mentioned it to me though I know that these cases take longer times for processing... *** Feb 18th (Received an email today asking to submit passport at the VAC.) **** Latest status:- Feb 24th- Issued

I'm a PhD student and I held an F1 visa for the past 4 years. I travelled to Europe last summer and I wasn't allowed to return. Upon contacting the consulate, I was told that my visa had been cancelled (even though it was supposed to be valid until this year). No reason was provided and I was told to reapply for a new visa. I applied for a new F1 visa and it has been in AP for the past 7 months. No updates on my case, inquiry emails by me and senator/congressperson all come back with generic response. I've missed two semesters because of this and has had a serious impact on finishing my degree. I have no clue why they cancelled my visa in the first place, ahead of its expiry. I asked VO during my interview and he said "I have no idea". I have not committed any visa violations to my knowledge. Would appreciate any advice on how to make progress in my case.

221G Blue slip(FTE) f1 to h1 background civil engineering(TaL case) Interview was normal asked me about my position, location, salary, project working on and also if i know Auto CAD. Gave me Blue slip asking for Invitation letter, Resume, Funding, research Publication and contact Info Submitted documents on Jan 28th Did followup with Us travel docs almost every week Received email from Mumbai administrative processing on March 3 exactly after 5 weeks to submit PP Also status changed to refused on March 3 as it happened for all pass port submitted on March 4 Ceac 1st time date change to March 5th but still status is refused Passport tracking says PP with Us embassy/consulate as of March 6th My question is why is Status date changed and still refused (on march 5 it became AP for sometime afternoon and date was changed but after that it went back to refuse in evening) Is there new 221g coming in my way. Really worried please help

I had my interview on December 16th, 2019. The visa officer asked me to submit my resume, publications, etc on the email mentioned on the blue slip of 221g. Its been 12 weeks and I am still waiting for any response from the consulate.
