We, me(H1) & my spouse(H4), had interview on 22nd Aug. VO asked general questions and asked for old approved I797 and client letter which was not with me at that moment. So, VO handed me over 221 g to submit the same and returned both the passports. On the same day, I submitted all the documents and got the acknowledge email back.
Till 3rd Sep, status was same under AP with last update date 22-Aug-2019. And after that, it changed to 3-Sep-2019 as last update date and under AP only.
Still waiting for the positive response.
on 16-Dec-2019, still under AP and last update date: 3-Sep-2019
on 03-Feb-2020, Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing and last update date: 03-Feb-2020
But I sent email for update on my case, got the response "Your application was refused under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act for administrative processing....."
Please guide me what is next.

I attended my H1 extension visa interview at Chennai consulate on the 19th of Dec. V.O asked regular questions like who is your petitioner?, what do they do?, salary?, client?, work location ?.
Then asked for recent paystubs and Client letter. She took my client letter and came back after 2 minutes. She issued the 221g blue slip stating that my case is put under administrative processing and returned my passport. She additionally said she needs to run verification on my client letter with the employer. Only after completion of process the visa can be issued. No additional documents asked. She only kept the client letter.
01/28: Received email from embassy to submit passport
01/29: Dropped off passport at VAC. The staff said that my case has been accepted and it will take 2-3 weeks to receive passport.
02/04: CEAC status changed to 'Issues' and received email to collect passport.
02/05: Picked up passport from VAC.

Gone to H1B stamping for Extension in Hyderabad on 27 November, got a white slip saying administrative processing and no updates till date.
I am a Full time employee since last 1.5years with a well known firm in US, the interview was mainly focused on my 7.5 years back work history where i used to work as a contractor for a small consulting firm. Not sure about the reason for Query. She just said we need to undergo Administrative processing and handed over 221G white slip

My VO @Chennai consulate said we need to do additional administrative processing on your case and we do not need any documents from you.
VO, scanned the passport and returned to me and said I am giving back your passport just incase if you need to travel. Its been two weeks and still no update. I asked client and employer and they did not get any mail as of now so any idea how long it may take?

I got Yellow slip issues just by looking at my passport and i797 without any questions...I have been in USA for last 5 & half years with same client and same company ...so It was surprise to see yellow slip... its been 2 weeks waiting for reply after submitting documents on email to 797 Mumbai consulate. Cant take any decision on Car and home in USA we left everything as is and paying rent ... Please update if anyone have anymore inputs.
