my b1 visa was approved in Chennai. This was my second take for b1. The interview was short and sweet. I thank immihelp for providing such an amazing forum!

No. I know that on b1 I am not supposed to work

My take:
1. Be super confident
2.dress well. I was wearing tie and company id card
3.carry your lucky charms along :)

Hai All
Today i attended for L1 ,@ hyd consulate. I had a very bitter experience i.e my uplaoded photo was not cleared and it was not met their specification then they asked me to take another photo @ consulate office with pay of 100Rs, but very bad and shame i had nothing in pockets bcos i did nt carry my walett. i asked three and four persons for just 100 no body given and looked me as great begger then i upseted and came back to token counter and i'm asking her to give gate pass to go and bring money while i'm asking the gate pass immediately one young girl responded (that time she was on counter's queue )and gave 100 even i did not asked her. after formalities we ( me, other 4 persons who refused me for just 100) our visa's rejected owing different reasons different visa ...... expect young girl. she is very lucky.....what i can say is God always do Good for Good Persons. Help others Hurt never

I would like to thank immhelp to make candidates equip themselves for the visa interview.
I attended my B1 visa interview on 18th April . This is my first interview and my visa got approved.
Me: Good Morning.
VO: Very good morning. How do you do.
Me: Fine. Thanks you.( Given my passport and confirmation letter to VO)
VO: You are working in xxx company?
Me: Yes.
VO: What do you do?
Me :Explained about my role and purpose of my visit to USA.
VO: Are you married?
Me: Yes
VO: Have Kids?
Me: Yes
VO: Age?
Me: xx years old.
VO: Thank you and you " Visa is approved" and you will get it within a weeks time.
Me: Thank you very much sir.
VO: Most welcome.
The interview time was less than 3 minutes. He didn't even ask for any other documents such as invite letter, etc...
My observation:
Be Honest and frank. Do not get panic by looking at others . Prepare a short narration of 30 Seconds to one minute to explain about you and your roles and responsibilities.
Remember VO is there to ensure that you are genuine in person and in papers you have submitted.

Please make sure you take a fresh photo and upload the same to the DS 160 form. This is because the officials at the consulate are very much particular about the time when the photo was taken. Otherwise, please carry money with you. You can take a photo in the consulate.

Whats the purpose of travel
Will you be working in the period.
Make sure you do not use "Requirement gathering", "Work". Also it is better to carry the meeting schedule with you. Better to travel for a max of 4weeks.

Atlast I got B1 visa by second attempt......

As u all aware of that visa approval is based on 100% of luck.....
I have applied visa first time by dec 2010 and It got rejected by not even asking a single question, just becoz my employer keep on sending people to U.S.
But, recently i joined in to the major IT player in India and I had a chance to go for KT.
April 12 I had visa interview at chennai u.s embassy...
She asked just 5 questions below......
1. Tell Abt ur previous empolyer...
2. Reasons for earlier rejections...
3. why r u going to u.s?
4. who is sponsoring ur trip?
5.wr u will stay at u.s?
6. duration of ur stay..
..... after few seconds typing with her system.... she revealed the secret and most expected word in my life... "ur visa has been approved and u will get it through courier within a week...
I said thanks a ton with smile.......
Friends please go through immihelp which helped me to get visa.... it is awesome.... just try and do with full confident and honest.. u will crack it...... all the best..

B1 Visa approval - After 221g Pink Slip
I really want to thank to immihelp forum from creating such an informative platform which brings clarity in mind of Visa Applicant. Below is my experience in Delhi Consulate.
We had visa interview at 9 AM and after completing necessary formalities me with my team was waiting for our turn for interview. I was wondering that most of the cases was being rejected and my colleague's application was rejected. So when I went for interview VO asked ....
1. Name of My company
2. Purpose of my Visit
3. My Current Role
4. Why i need to be there?
5. My annual package
6. Who will bear my expenses for trip
Then i was told that my visa is approved, just i need to go to other window for few more questions, where i was handed over Pink Slip 221g (without asking any documents to be deposited)
So i was not clear if i am through or not. Even was very much afraid when i came to know that it may take several months while processing 221g. But thanks to god that i got my visa stamped in total 10 day.
Visiting immihelp was such a great experience that even i was aware what my VO will ask me.
For very candidate only one suggestion: just know your DS160 completely.
