B1 visa approved
Had visa interview scheduled for 23 Nov at 7.45 AM. Got into the consulate in time did the formalities. Waited for 90 mins for my turn. Fortunate to have got 7.45 AM coz it started raining heavily by 8.15 and people waiting in the quese were at the mercy of rain gods.
A seperate queue for interview was opened at the visa screening section itself and I was the first person in that queue. the 1st question the VO asked, his voice was so faint I worried if I'm not able to pick his accent. Fortunately he had forgotten to turn his mic on.

I have attended interview at chennai, my trip was about attending the training program in US, visa officer asked me about the training program details sheet, I feel the client invitation letter itself mentions that this person will undergo training for this no. of months. Visa officer was not good, even i told the training program schdule to him, he has only rejection in mind, the queue i was standing was all regarding B1 visas, none of them got it.

Hi i am writing this note with an objective to enable all to get a B1 VISA ASAP. We would have to keep a note of the following:
1. Very neatly dressed ( Preferably in a Blazer)
( Must have a professional look for B1)
2. Not to panic
3. Keep all supporting documents
4. Ensure that your invite, appointment letter and passport are handy so that u get an entry fast
5. Dont carry mobile.
First you should have the following documents as a minimum requirement
1. You qualification certificate
2. DOB certifcate or SSC school leaving cert...
3. Invite letter
4. Resume
5. Itinery
6. Letter evidencing that your cost would be borne by the company
7. Document where u r going to stay in US
8. Please memorise the place of stay as the office my ask during interview
9. You have ascertain the VISA office one day prior to the interview so that you dont have any confusion on the date of the interview
10.You past experiance letter of your previous organisation
11.Any document that would evidence that you will return to India --- VERY VERY IMPORTANT
12. A pen handy
13. No any accesories
14. Talk only what is asked
15. Greet the VO office and be very plesant

I have been rejected for my social ties but I wanted to share my experince with you
Interview time was 9:00 AM...I entered in the counsolate office at 9:45...My turned came at 12:15 PM!!!!!!
Almost 80% b1 have been rejected that day...Below are my questions
1) What is the purpose of trip
(I explained WITH DOCUMENT...he had not look at that)
2) What is your employer name? (Given)
3) What is your company doing? (Explained)
4) How long have you been with your company? (Answer Given)
5) What is your salary? (Answered in lack per anum)
6)How long the trip will be? (6 weeks )
6)What is your profession? (answer Given)
7)What is your qualification?
8)Have you been in other contry before? (Ans:I have not)
He told me that we cant issue the VISA.

B1 Visa 2010 After H1B Rejected in 2007
Hi All,
Just wanted to share my experience here,I have been to US in 2004 on F1 and then I have applied for H1B in 2006 WITHOUT COMPLETING MY MSC worked in US for 6 months and them came to India for stamping and it got rejected....
I have been working for an MNC since then and have attended the Interview for B1 and it went through.
All I have to say is to attend the Visa Interview for B1 even if you H1B was rejected earlier.

Got B1 VISA at Hyderabad Consulate
Hi All,
This site is really useful. Yesterday I went through this site and red the experiences of different people. Today I attended the VISA interview at Hyderabad Consulate.
1.My appointment time is 8:15 AM and I reached there by 7:30.
2. They allowed me inside at 8:00 AM.
3. There is separate queue for BEP people and they checked my confirmation letter and asked me to go to counter number 8. There were lot of people were waiting.
4. The security people took my finger prints and gave a token.
5. Finally it was my turn to the counter where VO sits.
6. The conversation was like below,
VO: Hello Sir
ME: Hello Madam , Good Morning
VO: Good Morning
VO: How long you have been with your organization
ME: Answered
VO: Who is your client?
ME: Told
VO: Why are going:
ME: Said the purpose of the trip (In my case it is training)
VO: OK Sir, You will get the passport and VISA in 2,3 days.
ME: I felt so happy and said Thanks a lot, have a nice day.
So future aspirants...
No need of tense there. Dress well and be cool. Even though I was nervous before entering the consulate.. moving on it went away.
