My timeline of EAD
Hey guys,

I've been a long time lurker of this thread and I've wanted to give the community a timeline of my journey to obtaining EAD/Green Card. Before I share my timeline, here's my brief additional information of how long it took. My family and I came to US in 2007 under E-2 visa and have applied for Green Card under the family relative category (so called chain immigration by Pres. Trump). We've been in the US for 12 years, and finally, after long arduous journey, we are in the process of obtaining our Permanent Residency.

Here's my timeline of I-485, I-131, and I-765:

RD: 6/07/19
Bio: 7/15/19
Expedite requested for I-765: 9/06/19
Expedite approved: 9/10/19
RFE notice for expedite: 9/11/19
Submitted RFE: 9/22/19
Initial Evidence Request for I-485: 9/23/19
Expedite reviewed: 9/26/19
Initial Evidence received: 10/7/19
Ready to schedule for interview: 10/22/19
Interview was scheduled: 10/28/19
New card is being produced for I-765: 11/18/19

I am a (c)(9) category applicant for I-765 and it took me approximately 5.5 months to receive EAD. Also, all of my applications are being processed at NBC if that helps. If any of you guys have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask, I would love to share my experience with you guys!

Hope everyone of you will be able to receive your EAD and green card soon!

SSN Card
Hi Guys,

Does anyone here have any experience on receiving their Social Security Number after their EAD?

Some people say it will arrive in the post 2 days after EAD other say it can take weeks.

Is there anyway to track when it will arrive?

Any information will be appreciated.

Cheers

L2 EAD - Need advise
Hi All,

My Spouse L1 applied in june 2019 along with L2 and L2 EAD case also filed in texas service center. My spouse L1 upgraded to premium and it got approved on July-2019.

My L2 EAD crossed the outside processing time (now they process 22-June-2019 cases), but suddenly last month L2 processing time changed to 15-Jan-2019.

Is it possible shall i request L2 EAD to process because it crossed outside processing time. Please advise.

Vermont - Case transferred
Hi all,

Today I've noticed on the app tracker that many cases on Vermont have been transferred.
Do you guys know more about it?
Maybe they are sharing the overload with different offices?

EAD
Been reading this forum for a couple of months now and it definitely helped me but also confused me a lot. Reading other people’s timelines makes me realize USCIS has literally no order when it comes to processing these cases. Like up to a year to get a simple work permit?????? Are they aware of what they are doing to people??? I understand green cards require more “investigation” and reviewing but this?! It makes me so mad that this is acceptable!! The only message I am getting from them is that you can’t work, you can’t leave the country so God forbid you spend time with your family while suffering through this atrocious process, BUT you must pay for everything and anything (bc we all know it costs to breathe around here) while you are jobless and locked in an apartment/house. Seems like Trump is on point with executing his plan for getting rid of the foreigners with this system- drive them so crazy so that they end up leaving the U.S. good job👏🏼

Sorry for my rant, I will put my timeline below:

RD for AOS package: July 8th, 2019
Biometrics: August 5th, 2019
2nd expedite: October 21st, faxed additional evidence October 24th
-called and chatted with uscis representatives multiple times since then, same questions with the same dumbass answers every time
Service inquiry about the expedite: November 8th, 2019
Status updated to “your case is under review you will receive a decision shortly”: November 15th, 2019

I contacted the congressman that same day to send an inquiry too. I have a job waiting on me since July and needless to say I need to start asap.

Vermont L2 Ead. Tracker question
Hi all,

I have been checking the numbers daily. My RD is 19th of June. I stopped working on October and would like to understand the timeline better.
For those of you with better analytical skills than me;

Any educated guess on which dates Vermont working on this week?
As I believe they have deprioritized L2 ead approvals but how much did they deprioritize?

Thanks for all the help.

No Tracking ID
Card Was Mailed To Me a week ago. Until now, I don’t have a tracking ID. I talked to an agent via Emma live chat and I couldn’t get any more information.

I’m gonna do it
I’m just gonna do it. The end of this month will mark ONE YEAR for me without a job. The previous 2 years I worked 40+ hours every week, went to work on my days off, when I was sick, on my birthdays, on holidays, and even all summer long! So, I’m sick and tired of just sitting around and watching my spouse work all the time, and we barely go through the last week before paycheck. I’m just gonna work! EAD is just like a driver license, you can drive with or without it!
