Full-Term Drivers Licence approved for 5 years with EAD
Hi All,
I have been a silent reader till now.
However, I might need your inputs and thoughts about something strange which happened to me.
I am married to a US Citizen.

I went to Texas DPS to renew my drivers licence on september 19 2019 along with my EAD which expires on October 20 2019 and i765 which says I applied for my EAD extension and grants me an automatic 180 days extension.

The lady at the drivers license office took my EAD and i765 and scanned them. She also entered some information from those documents into her computer.

I was expecting that I will get a new DL which will be valid until my 180 day extension period. However to my surprise, I got my new DL valid for 5 years and it doesn't say "Limited Term" on the top.

Limited Term DL's are given to non citizens and people without green cards. I am not sure how come I received a licence without the "Limited Term" clause.

Upon a little bit of research, I found out that the DPS uses a syatem called SAVE to verify immigration status and based on the responses provided by SAVE syatem, the DPS representative makes a decision if an individual is eligible for the DL or not.
But, even after looking so much, I couldn't understand why I got a Full-Term DL with even having my green card.
Does that mean that the SAVE system verified my immigration status as LPR (Legal Permanent Resident) or does it look like a mistake performed by the lady who issued my licence?

Did anyone face a situation like this?

I still did not get my GC in hand. Waiting for December 3rd to follow up since it will mark 2 years of my marriage.

EAD received in 260 days
A silent reader wanted to share his timeline :

02.26 - Receipt date
08.01 - Raised first SR for outside normal processing time - No response
09.05 - Raised second SR for outside normal processing time
09.18 - Received USCIS email saying that case was not outside processing time (even though it was as per NBC estimate)
09.19 - Raised third SR for outside normal processing time
10.02 - Received USCIS email saying that they are still processing it, and don't have any update
10.16 - Raised expedite request for financial loss (Likely job loss after the expiry of 180 day extension in late Nov)
10.22 - Received USCIS email asking to fax supporting documents
10.23 - Faxed the documents, haven't heard anything since
10.31 - Reached out to local congressman for USCIS followup
10.31 - Local congressman's office reached out to NBC
11.03 - Raised ombudsman request
11.07 - Received email from Congressman office about approval
11.08 - Status reflected about sending the card
11.13 - Received the card in hand

Had been talking to Tier 2 officer weekly for last 6 weeks, but I guess reaching out to Congressman's office helped.

updates
I had submitted i765 (c9) and i485, NBC
PD May 30, 2019
Biometrics June 27, 2019
On October 17, they updated my I485 case with: "we are ready to schedule your Form I-485". So far no news for this case.

and Finally TODAY:
On November 13, 2019, we ordered your new card for your case (I765)

I'm not going to lie, been waiting all this time has been horrible, especially after the fifth month. But, at the same time, keeping the faith and praying to God helps me a lot.

I hope you guys the best luck and blessing from God. Your updates are coming soon. Have Faith and keep positive.

expedite request denied
My expedite request for I-765 has been denied today. They said I did not provide evidence of extreme emergency needs. While they did not even ask for evidence.Anyway, the email also mention that my case need additional reviews and processing time may take longer than normal.

What does that mean?? Would I have to wait longer than normal processing times at Nebraska SC??

Renewal E2 Vermont
Hi,
My case was received on June 26th on the vermont center and I still don’t have any news.. reading this gives me hope but I have no idea what to tell my former employer. Any idea on where we are or an estimate on when i can get a response ? Also, can i file a request after the 5 months time frame they were giving before?
Thanks for all your help and keep the moral up even if it is not easy these cold days.

Combo Card
My I-765 application has been approved today. Yesterday, it says “New Card Is Being Produced.” How long is the typical wait for the card in the mail?

Also, I talked to an agent via Emma live chat. My I-131 application is still pending. I filed my I-485, I-765 and I-131 applications at the same time. What are the chances I will be getting a combo card?
