Frustration #USCIS #EAD
Is this System for real....just when you think your getting a month or two closer...USCIS just pushed back EAD processing time at NBC to 5.5 months to 7.5 months

Omg you know how I counted those dates in April one by one, day by day...now it's pushed back to March 17.

Are you to tell me that June filers can't even request an SR until Jan 2020.

I thought the interview was really what they use to determine if your approved or not, so why the hell would USCIS wants to stifle applicants independence. What's so hard in giving us a work permit so we can go out there and find jobs to better ourselves and our families. After sitting down not working for so long we the applicants are the ones that are eager to get jobs and to better the economy. I don't see the logics in a process that use yo take two to three months in now taking seven months to over a year. This is ludicrous!

Is this systems about "making America great again" or stifling and tearing families apart?

EAD L-2
Hi,

this community has been very resourceful to manage my case, probably more than our immigration attorney (hired by a big multinational company).

So, thank you. Here my case's timeline:
- 5/21 -- I-765 received by USCIS Vermont
- 10/11 -- expedite processing request denied
- 10/27 -- I filed a ER for out of processing time, that has not been assigned yet; they can respond by 11/18

The attorney asked to wait 5,5 months before processing the ER but I do not see the use of it since the instructions given by them state an out of processing time referred to the date of receipt.

Tomorrow I will call USCIS and if the answer is inconclusive I will file a request to the Ombudsman.

This is not of much help, but I wanted to share my story for your reference too. I keep you posted :)

Waiting time for ead

WASHINGTON, DC 20510
The Honorable Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II Acting Director
June 11, 2019
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services U.S. Department of Homeland Security 20 Massachusetts Avenue NW, 4th Floor Washington, DC 20529
Dear Acting Director Cuccinelli,
We write concerning the backlogs that our constituents are currently facing at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The processing delays, particularly as it pertains to family- based immigration petitions and employment authorization documents, are alarming and impose an undue burden on applicants, their families, and community businesses.
Congress increased USCIS's budget in hopes that the additional funding would lead to a reduction in application times but the opposite has occurred despite a drop in applications. The inefficiencies, delays and backlogs are significant and must be swiftly addressed.
In order to serve our constituents please provide us with a written response to the questions below within 30 days of receipt:
How many pending applications/petitions does USCIS have for the following form types
o I-130, Petition for Alien Relative
o 1-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker
o I-765, Application for Employment Authorization
o I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; and
o N-400, Application for Naturalization
What is USCIS's stated processing-time goal for each application type?(Example: 90 days (l- 765s), 120 days (I-485))
o What percentage of applications are processed within the agency's stated timeframe?
What is the average processing time for these application types currently?
o What is the percentage of applications are processed within this average?
Has a policy change occurred in the last 18 months that has led to increased processing times?
o If so, please provide the policy memorandum/memoranda that are affiliated with these changes;
o In particular, please share any changes in the processing ofl-765s that explain increased processing times for first-time and renewal applications.
Consular-returned petitions (petitions denied by Embassies that must be reviewed by USCIS a second time) currently have no stated processing time. Reports of petitions returned to USCIS in 2015 and 2016 with no further action are being received.
o What is the number of consular-returned petitions (1-130, 1-140 namely) that await USCIS review?
o What is the average length oftime a consular-returned petition waits to be reviewed?
o What plans does USCIS have in place or plan to implement to address this growing backlog?
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
;;;Jamin L. CardUl U.S. Senator U.S. Senator
This is what was requested by uscis from the house
