My wait is finally over. RD was May 2, 2019 in Vermont Service Center. My status was updated yesterday 'Ordered your new card'. Today, EAD has been approved. Few more days until I can join back my office.

Are there any May 3rd (or earlier) Vermont filers who have not received any updates? I believe a lot of May 3rd filers have already received updates yesterday while I still did not receive anything.
I man an E2 dependent. It has been exactly 5 months, 2 weeks and a day today and, I just want to know that I am not alone in waiting.

EAD processing times
When you visit USCIS website, for EAD processing they say it is between 3.5-5.5months. I believe it is misleading...90% of cases get processed in 5 month range so why do the even quote a 3.5 month in their site? They can simply say it will take 5 months to approve. July filer here and the wait is killing...any L2 new July filer from Vermont who has got their EAD approved? Ideally we fall in 3.5 month category and should expect our EADs?

Question
My lawyer says I have to attend the interview for I-485 to get my work permit. Is that really correct? I mean, yes, if rather have my green card right now. But I've also seen others getting their EAD while waiting for green card. I thought that was the whole point of applying for I-765.
Been waiting for 10 months, just got a call for interview but dead quiet regarding the I-765.

Finally guys. EAD card is mailed / interview is scheduled

October 10 we ordered your new card (EAD).
October 11 we approved your case ( EAD and AP).
October 16 we mailed your new card.
October 16 interview was scheduled.
Its being a roller coaster kinda journey, tell me about the emotional stress, anxiety and panic attacks you don't wanna know but hopefully it will be over soon in Jesus name. Amen
It took me over 10 months to get my EAD, yet to receive it will update when I get it in hand and letter for interview.

1 Expedite request - July 22 no responds till August 29 Faxed evidence on September 4 never got a response on it till date.
2 service request - July 31st no response and second SR was sometime in September and about 3 weeks got email saying due to workload factor a delay is anticipated on my case bla bla....
