EAD Expedite Request is a Joke
Living in NYC; filed I-485 under marriage in June; status turned to be ready for an interview for a while. But it seems like no one has got an interview yet and it takes 6 months + in NYC?

I made an expedite request for my EAD card last month also and faxed all the documents required; they received two weeks ago but I never heard back then.

I called them and they told me it takes 60 days for them to reply...........then what is the point of expedite request.........ok.........now I see it takes 7.5 months now for normal processing time.............. I will be losing my job...............and my bonus........... so depressed now.......... FML.............I could have used my STEM OPT..........now since I filed I-785............I will be fked after my current EAD expires...........

Current processing applications
So guys wtf exactly happened?
Uscis was processing cases in april and they just jumped back to cases in march 16th today?
Like they think they’re moving too fast so they need to go back to cases they already approved last month to read over them again for fun?
I’m so confused, are we living in some time lapse **** like 2019 B.C where next year will 2018??

I-765 under Cuban Adjustment Act processing times 2019
Hello Guys!

I have been reading this thread as many other people and given the feeling of been powerless before USCIS reckless processing times is that I have decided to comment in this forum. I am a I-485 July filer, firsts of July, case assigned at NBC, once month later I got my fingerprint done and nothing has change since firsts of August. Now I checked that USCIS has updated their processing times to 5.5 to 7.5 months and I don't know why but something tells me that the system is doing that on purpose, like on the purpose of frustrating immigrants on their applications. They are basically depriving us from an essential right to work. It is nothing outstanding, it is just the possibility to work as we wait for our green card, without that right we cannot feed our children, bring support to our family or even have the minimum life quality that we any person deserves. USCIS processing delays are extremely unprofessionals and unpleasant, if not frustrating. The thing is that now with those processing times I am supposed to expect my ead by December if everything goes as planned, because I don't know what to expect anymore since it is all so fuzzy right now with immigration. With all of this being said I would suggest you to pray if I were catholic, since I am not I can only recommend you to fight for your goals and wait through this dissapointing period. Right now I am realizing that I shouldn't have come to this country to pursue the already dead American Dream.

Stay positive
@Stella....note to self:

In the mode of staying positive I am going to speculate that USCIS have raised the processing times because of too much influx of SRs. The applicants due to the constant delays in processing times the applicants have to resort to filing SERVICE REQUESTS, thus USCIS now have to be processing the heavy influx of SRs hence less concentration on the EAD application. Subsequently a strategic measure in increasing the processing times to decrease the SRs.

L2 EAD and I539 renewal - Can I go out of the country
Hi All,

My EAD is expiring in Dec and I have applied for I539 extension and L2 EAD renewal. My Huband applied for L1 extension in premium processing and got it approved on sep 27.

I am currently working on a very critical project. I have a canada work permit and was wondering if I can go there and work until my i539 and EAD is approved.

Any response in this regard would be highly appreciated.

EADs
The times posted on the website are not accurate.

A lot of people get it before then.

What is frustrating though is that it seems they are deliberately trying to dissuade legal immigration, by these shenanigans.
