Got a notification the other day about my I-485 RFE - still haven't got the mail so I've no idea what more evidence they want (had a lawyer helping us filing all the papers).
Besides that. No updates what so ever since january 2nd "Fingerprint fee was received".

Just chatted with a representative who told me to just wait 30 days since my last SR.......
I'm starting to feel hopeless, I feel useless not being able to drive or contribute to the household, living at my mother in laws.......I hurts seeing everyone filing way after you already getting their EAD (I'm happy for you ofcourse, but WHY are they holding december filers for so long???)

Finally status update
This morning I woke up with a good new. The status for EAD change to” New Card Being Produced”. My PD is 02/19. The wait is 206 days. Good luck everyone!

I have never felt so helpless and frustrated with my life. I filed for marriage based I-485 & I-765 in March (RD march 21) and it’s been 177 days since I’ve been waiting and waiting for my EAD. I did receive a RFIE in June for birth certificate, which I sent immediately.
I lost my job in July as my previous EAD through OPT expired and I’ve been out job for more than 2 months. I’ve tried calling USCIS several times with no help whatsoever. I raised an SR on August 21 as my case was outside normal processing time. Got an email saying I should expect a response by Sept 12 which was yesterday. I’m clueless on what to do. Are there any other March filers that are still waiting for their EAD? What do you think my next steps should be? I’m tired of waiting.

December filers waiting
Any December filers still waiting? I submitted beginning of December (aos c9) and fingerprints received end of January. Nothing changed since. Two SR raised with no responses. The GC interview has been scheduled in the meanwhile though. I am puzzled as I am seeing a lot of April filers getting approved. Does anyone know rhe logic behind the processing? I thought it was “first come first serve”.

1. How long does it (usually) take to receive the EAD to start working when you apply for the adjustment of status?
2. My spouse works in Toronto (work permit in Canada). Is it possible to wait there (income) while the process is going?

September 11 2019 - SE assigned to officer for response
September 12 2019 - New card being produced
I tried to expedite twice directly with USCIS and via congressmen last month - both denied without opportunity to submit evidence. I do feel that getting the congressmen to help brought attention to my case - but you can never be sure!
Hang in there guys - I know it's easier said then done but when you finally get that message it is ABSOLUTE BLISS!!!!

I just wanted to share experience since this site has really helped me.
PD - 04/08

Long wait
Raised an expedite request on 8/21 (Lawyer didn't agree since according to him job offer is not a valid reason. I understand that from USCIS perspective but for me and my family it was very important since we would have lost all savings if I hadn't receive my EAD in time)
8/25 - USCIS requested for Offer letter and provided them the details. No other details were requested.
Called Tier 2 officer 6 times during this time and raised SRs for whether document was delivered to USCIS successfully since I saw many cases had that issue.
9/11 - New card is being produced.
My suggestion for everyone is to hang in there and be hopeful. Please don't wait for lawyers or anyone else and expedite it even if you only have job offer in hand.
