Ead card status changed back from "new card being produced" to the earlier status "case appoved"
My case was received on April 9th, 2020. And my case was approved on July 1st, 2020. And then the case status was changed to 'New card is being produced'.
However, from July 7th onwards, the case status changed back to 'Case Was Approved' which is the previous step of the process.
It's been more than 20 days and I have no information regarding my EAD card. When I called the USCIS representative, they had no information regarding my card as well and they asked me to wait till August first week for a further update

EAD (I-765) Mailed but not produced?
I got a status update yesterday (07/20) that my card has been mailed to my address. I called USCIS today for the tracking number and they said it is still not produced. I have no idea what is going on. How can they update the website with one status while their internal shows another? Anyone with a similar experience?

Payment Amount Incorrect for EAD/AP Renewal

I am on I485 Pending, June 23rd I submitted my second EAD renewal. Since then I didn't get any updates, not even recepit.
Today I found I got a return package from USCIS, state that the payment amount is incorrect. I was like what....
I submitted the I797 recepit when filing I485 which has the fees listed there. What did I do wrong here?
I submitted the same documents as last year which I successful got renewal.

Just received my EAD in the mail today (July 18). Here's my timeline for anyone who's interested. I filed with the NBC.
Jan. 30: Case received by USCIS.
Feb. 28: Biometrics appointment.
March 23: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
June 24: Card is being produced.
June 25: I-765 case was approved.
June 29: Received approval notices in the mail.
July 3: Received SSN in the mail.
July 15: Card is being mailed.
July 18: Received card.

What if you have an EAD and get laid off with an I-485 pending application?
What if you are laid off while having an EAD and a pending I-485 application for more than 180 days? I know that you have to get a "similar" job but do you have a deadline to get another job or do you have until your EAD expires to get another job?
Also, what if your husband has an EAD because of your I-485 application? If you lose your job, is he allowed to work or not? Given that his EAD is dependent on your case.
Sorry to ask hypothetical cases but nowadays you have to think ahead for options.
