EAD Renewal with NBC Out of Processing Time
Hi Guys,
I'm currently in the process of I-485 c(9) application. My first EAD expired in Dec, 2018. I submitted EAD renewal in the beginning of Sept. 2018. It's now out of processing time.
I have read about NBC not caring about renewal EADs in other's posts before. I'm between jobs right now, and do not want to lose any opportunities just because EAD is delayed. Here are a few steps I'm going to take, please give me some suggestions or if anything that works better in this case.
1. Submit an “outside normal processing time” service request online.
2. Call USCIS, try to talk to level 2 for more updates about my case. If still pending review, then:
3. Contact congressman's office, wait for response. If still pending, try to expedite the case. If not able to expedite, then:
4. Contact Senator's office, wait for response.
5. Call USCIS periodically, and schedule an infopass to talk to an officer.
6. Contact Ombudsman for assistance.
7. Visit congressman and Senator's office periodically.

Waiting time for EAD
Hello Guys,
I have been a silence reader for the past couple of weeks. I am start to get really anxious due to the fact that my work permit is taking a long time base on the Adjustment of Status (got marriage last year)
My case was process by NBC, sending from California
RD: September 19th 2018
It 158 days past and I am getting frustrated. The status just say "Case was Received". Contacted my lawyer,and they mention that the processing time can take up to 6 months.I should expected to hear from them by mid of next month.
Any suggestion would be gladly appreciated !

Hi Guys, I responded to RFIE last week and today my i485 change to "Ready to schedule for a interview" My question is how long do i have to wait until the interview is actually scheduled.

Got update that card is being mailed to me, how long does it normally takes? Do they normally provide a tracking number on the website or I would have to call to get that info?

Alright guys last night got notification that new card is being produced... finally!!

I got as of 02/22 that the card is in prod. Case is approved on 02/26. No updates today. When does the card usually get mailed ?

It took 180 days to get "Case was approved" message for my EAD

Sep.21.18 = Priority Date
Nov.21.18 = Biometrics notice to spouse
Dec.07.18 = Spouse biometrics done
Jan.10.19 = EAD expedition request to USCIS
Jan.14.19 = EAD expedition request to USCIS is denied
Jan.22.19 = Received Biometrics notice for me
Jan.28.19 = Biometrics done for me
Jan.29.19 = Fingerprint Review Was Completed

I need to fly to my country next week and nothing yet. I contacted my congressman and he wrote to the NBC but they told him my case is still on the correct processing time. I drove three hours yesterday to a meeting with infopass at Norfolk and they told me they didn’t touch my case yet at the NBC center, that sometimes the officer that can have my case can be slower. In the website it still says “fingerprint fee received” and “your case was received” any help??
