I have been waiting a lot for EAD approval. It's been almost 4.5 months now (NBC c9).but that's not my only problem. My question is how do I find a job? I've been applying through indeed.com, and others but no result. Please give me suggestions. I'm so hopeless that even if my ead gets approved I don't know what to do with it.

Filed H4 EAD (Class C26) based on I140 with received date of 11/07/2017 and notice date of 11/09/2017 - Vermont service center
Raised first S.R on Jan 22 (75th day) - Got Response on Jan 23:
We researched your case and found that your case has been assigned to an officer and is currently being processed. We will send you a written notice when we make a decision on your application or to let you know if we need any additional information. We regret that we cannot provide a definitive timeframe on the processing of your application, but assure you that we are committed to the timely processing of applications for employment authorization.
Raised second S.R on Feb1 (85th day) - Got Response on Feb 7:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show that your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, is currently under review by an officer. You should receive a decision or notice of the action within 60 days of the date of this letter.
Got approval mail on February 17, 2018 (102nd day) with a notice date of 02/13/2018. Yet to receive EAD and SSN.

Social security
Hey guys I’m just a bit curious but on the social security form they have the option of 1. Lawful resident allowed to work 2. Legal alien not allowed to work and 3. Other.....if your waiting for AOS and out of status I guess the best option is “other”? Right..

RFE received l2 ead Vermont- october
I unfortunately received a rfe on my application. I am.asked to and pay stubs of l1 applicant to prove that he is maintaining his l1 status. God knows when will I receive my ead now.

For August 2017 Filers
After a long 6 months my EAD card is finally being approved. I thought I'd share my experience for anyone else that has been waiting for their EAD.
My i765 is dependent on i485 AOS. and was post dated August 7th 2017 at NBC.
October 2017: Raised first service request - no response
November 2017: Raised second service request - no response
December 2017: My original EAD expired... out of work as a result and employer is okay with waiting
First week of December 2017: Raised expedite request based on financial hardship/Company hardship. This was approved.
Second week of December 2017: Reached out to Senator/Congressman, they also asked to expedite my card, this was also approved.
January 12 2018: Reached out to USCIS Ombudsman (in my opinion this step helped the most)
January 19 2018: Received request for initial evidence on i485 sent (interim benefits are put on hold while USCIS awaits receipt of RFIE)
January 25 2018: Received RFIE
January 27 2018: RFIE sent FEDEX over night
January 29 2018: Senator follows up, and receives response that interim benefits are put on hold while awaiting RFIE on i485
February 1 2018: USCIS receives RFIE
February 16 2018: Ombudsman sends followup request to USCIS, since we received no answer from them.
February 20 2018: Finally received an updated saying card in production
All in all, using all the resources at your disposal will help the process in my opinion. Even though it has been over 6 months... I think if you reach out to your senator/ombudsman earlier than I did, they can resolve it quicker.
Good luck to the rest of you and all August filers.

Rfe experience
Hi, I was asked in a rfe a joint sponsor because my husband is an independent contractor and is hard to prove his income, bla bla, so my father in law is the new joint sponsor, he is a landlord and investor, and he gets benefits from SS, and I was asked in the letter to send tax returns, schedules, tax forms, and proof of citizenship, so I sent all that, plus bank statements for the past 12 months, all under my lawyer advice, but I wonder if I had to send more things like evidence of resources of income, even if they didnt ask for it in the letter. im super anxious because in the letter specifies that they just take a desicion on what Im sending. Or if Im ok by just sending what they asked me. Does anyone have a experience like this to give me advice or confort, or point mistakes out? Thank you in advance. Oh I sent too my husbands last 2 tax returns and 12-month bank statements

How long from being approved to recieving the card?
Hi, guys! I've got some great news! USCIS representative told me today that my card was approved yesterday(which is a little bit weird cause, as far as I know, officially USCIS wasn't working yesterday) I filled my application in the middle of September, by the way, and got an RFE a month ago. I contacted first a congressman then an ombudsman and at the end of last week my senator. I personally don't know who exactly helped but what matters is that it is approved now. I'm really happy!
