USCIS
How long does USCIS have to make a decision on my Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization?

The required times in which USCIS must make a decision on a Form I-765 are:

• Ninety (90) days of receipt of applications filed under categories other than asylum-based, or

• Thirty (30) days if filing for an initial EAD based upon a pending asylum case.

One exception to this rule is if USCIS requires initial or additional evidence. If initial is evidence is requested, the processing time will start from zero upon receipt of the requested evidence. If additional evidence is requested, the processing time limit is extended by the amount of time it takes for you to receive the request for evidence and respond to it. Also, the processing time is extended when a request for evidence is issued for any form filed concurrently with Form I-765.

121 days
I have never felt so disheartened, it is officially day 121. I have words to describe my feelings for the whole process. I am at a complete standstill. Never in a million years did I think it would take this long. No rfe's, nothing has changed. I am literally hoping for a miracle.

Tracking number
Hello. My EAD was in production April 10th and it was mailed out April 19th (yesterday). I called USCIS today and spoke to a level 2 officer to ask for a tracking number but he said that he does not have one and it's still in production. Has anybody else experienced the same situation and if so, how long until you guys received your EAD. I'm supposed to start working on Monday as an RN.

interview(AOS)
Hi Guys,

I hope everyone is doing good. I need your opinion and if anybody has had the same situation before like me. I got married with US citizen in 2014 and our marriage was over in 2015. My first marriage was pretty tough , and it ended up with very bad. We do not talk each other anymore. I destroyed all the picture lease etc.(we are kind of enemy) her intention was different than mine and at the end she cheated on me. I did not file any single paper to homeland through my first wife. End of 2016, I got married again and I filed I-130, 131, 765,485. I got my ead and interview date.

My question is that do you guys think my first marriage will affect my interview?

Thanks

Mike

L2 EAD renew
Hi, I'd like to share with my timeline.
Current EAD will expire on 22nd of April 2017.

Submitted documents for EAD renewal on February 23, 2017 to Texas SC
Acceptance notice on March 01, 2017 received by mail
Status changed to "Card is being produced" on April 10, 2017
Approval notice from April 10, 2017 received by mail
Received an email update from USPS that something from USCIS was shipped on April 18, 2017, delivery date will be April 20, 2017, but USCIS site still indicated that "Card is being produced"
USCIS site today just updated the status to "card was mailed to me" but the day in fact is April 17, 2017.

I am very happy with such fast process, especially because I'll get my new EAD card just 2 days before my current one will expire!

Good luck to all!

EAD
Moved to the USA on a K1, paperwork filed Jan 5th 17, day 75 put a service request in regarding EAD, day 91 put a service request in regarding EAD. Both times I didn't hear back, within this time I also talked to local congressman and Ombudsman, none helped at all except congressman to get me into the service centre quickly.

In Service centre I explained, I have a career as an airline pilot, currently I cannot fly or work and this delay is going to hurt my career and money situation not just tomorrow but potentially for the rest of my career. I showed him a job offer I received in the USA, the pilot manager personally wrote a letter for me.

Immigration Officer said he would call me later that day and understood my position. He did call me at home in the afternoon and said it was taken care of and he would follow up next week. He called back that Monday and advised its being worked on. Next day my status changed and letters came in the mail for EAD and Advance Parole.

In my experience best to go in wear a suit, take your petitioner and plead your case with honesty. He could see all the work I did since January 5th in regards to study and course and exams necessary to work in my career field.

My advise, while you are waiting for your cards to arrive , do all you can , SSN, drivers license and anything for your career if you need qualifications for the USA, show them you have intent to work and be productive. If need be take online courses etc.

It worked for me
