Hi,

July 18 - Immigration received our applications
Aug 7 - we got a request for additional evidence
Aug 18 - Immigration received the additional evidence
We are still waiting.. and very stressed.

Please help!

EAD Processing
Hi All,

This forum is really helpful. I am new to EAD but this forum helped me in filing for my EAD.
My case is in very early stages.
I applied for EAD in this month.
Oct 8: Application with all the documents send through USPS Express mail
Oct 9: Application was received at USCIS, Dallas Lockbox
Oct 14: Received USCIS acceptance confirmation email
Oct17: Received I-797C

Can anybody suggests me what will be the next step? Generally in how many days will I receive notice for Biometrics? How USCIS will intimate me regarding biometrics, through email or Notice through mail? If biometrics is required, can i get it done before the date specified by them or I should stick to the date mentioned by USCIS?

I am going to India on 14th November. So if biometrics done before that will be good.
Thanking in advance.
Regards

EAD processing
Hi, I hope someone can comment with his/her experience. , my case is in the early stages:
I applied this month on October 1st via Fedex, was received by USCIS on October 3rd and on October 8th the cheque was charged Ok., but I havent received any e-notification or text. Should I be worried because I see that everyone receives their Receipt number within 3 days after USCIS gets the application.
regards!

EAD biometric
Hi,
I have applied for EAD on 21st Aug'14 and I am currently on J2 visa.
I have not received any notification for biometrics till date, so I called up uscis helpline today and told them that I haven't received any notification for my form and the lady registered my query/complain (am not sure) and said they would get back to me within 15 days. Later on my asking she said not all cases need biometrics stuff done, so am wondering just in case a fingerprinting etc was not needed in my case, my giving them a call shouldn't make them put them me on that list of those who need to get a biometrics done, right? I have an offer in hand and desperately waiting for my EAD and so am super scared if this is gonna take longer!
Anyone who has any clues please write back (i know its a stupid situation that I have written in, but thought my be someone else also has done such stupid things like me!)

How long is the biometrics appointment?
Hi all

I'm in the process of getting my employment authorization and have an appointment to have my biometrics taken.

The problem is, I have a flight later on that day (4 hours later) so I'm trying to find out from someone who has had their biometrics taken, how long the actual appointment takes.

Is there a lot of queueing/waiting around or is it a pretty quick process?

Thanks in advance!

EAD Processing
Hi All,

I have a job offer requiring me to be on board asap, any advice on my EAD expedition would be much appreciated. Below is my timeline:

6.23: submitted I-130, I-485, I-765 by Fedex overnight
6.24: received by USCIS:
6.26: notice date
7.17: walked in local ASC for biometrics
7.23:received RFE based on I-485....feeling so confused cos I DO have a joint sponsor and i do include both I-864 from my husband & co-sponsor, employment letter etc.. YET they still require my husband's income proof, stating it doesn't meet the standards of I-864P blabla. My lawyer is equally puzzled since it's his first time to see USCIS issues RFE on petitioner's income though the applicant has two sponsors...But he suggested me submit evidence nontheless
8.11: submitted RFE response
8.12: i-485 status changed to RFE response review
8.13: visited district congressional office. They said they''ll forward my docs and send expedite request on my behalf but no guarantee
8.17: follow up w congress office. They said they emailed USCIS but so far no response...I also called USCIS Customer Service but they said my EAD processing is still within normal range etc..

I'm extremely anxious right now since i have a job offer pending.....Does anyone know what else i can do this stage? Should I send expedite request by myself? Or should i try Infopass? I applied EAD twice and it never took this long. This time my EAD is being processed in Missouri instead of VSC that's all i know....Does anyone have experience w similar situation?

Thank you guys! Good luck on everybody:))))

EAD Processed in 2 months without Biometric
Hi All,
I gathered a lot of information from valuable comments from this forum and thought now it's time to pay back. So here's my detailed experience..

In short, I got my EAD approved in 2 months, without Biometric, RFE and to clear out dilemma which a lot like me have owing to our jobs back here, I did not stay in US for the entire duration. I only waited for a month, to ensure that I am present if there's a biometric , which usually happens within a month.

A couple of things I want to highlight though - I tried to doubly sure that I send as many document proof as possible with clear markings and a cover letter. Also, I did have SSN number from my earlier visit (was earlier there on H1B for over a year).

Here's the timeline:

1. Tried to fedex (Same Day) on May 27 to Lewisville (Dallas) Lockbox Facility... It was apparently returned by USCIS because it was Same Day Delivery. Not sure what's the issue with Fedex Same Day - No comments or reviews available online to suggest that they don't accept Same Day but Fedex returned it stating USCIS didn't accept the delivery.

2. Without wasting time for that packet to return next day, I posted another set of documents on May 27th itself to USCIS, Lewisville Facility by USPS Priority Express (guaranteed delivery)

3. Packet got delivered on May 28, 12 PM..

4. Cheque got cleared on May 30, 2014.

5. Email Notification for Acceptance of Documents Received on June 2, 2014. This contains Receipt Number.
No updates then on until Aug. I didn't raise any query either.

6. Status Directly changed from Initial Review to Card Production on Aug 1. The notice says that the card would be delivered within 30 days...

7. So total days in decision... Precisely 2 months..

8. Card Shipped on Aug 7, 2014

9. Received card on Aug 9, 2014

I came back to India after applying EAD and staying in US for a month, from May 24 - June 29.. I did doubly ensure that I send as many documents as possible.

Documents Sent (in this order) :
1. Cover Letter with clear details of documents attached
2. Personal Check for Filing fee of $380
3. 2 Photographs
4. Form G-1145 for e-Notification of Application
5. I-765 form
6. I-94 of EAD Applicant, I94 Number
7. Copy of Passport of EAD Applicant (L2 Visa Holder)
8. Copy of Visa of EAD Applicant
9. I-94 of L1 Visa Holder
10. Copy of L1 Visa
11. Copy of Passport of L1 Visa Holder
12. Copy of Indian Marriage Certificate, issued by Government of Delhi, India
13. Employment Letter of spouse - L1 VISA Holder
14. Copy of Indian Driving License of EAD Applicant(L2 Visa Holder)
15. Copy of Indian Driving License of L1 Visa Holder . Includes Spouse’s name
