Having been around this forum for a while... Day 235 after case received for my 765 and 131...
Expedite approved via congressman's help on Jan 22nd. Last Friday, I got the message from the congressman's office that USCIS responses my case Inquiry "I have requested that these files be adjudicated as soon as possible. "
Seems nothing I can do right now except waiting... finger crossed and god bless...

New Card Being Produced Timeline
Apologies for the multiple posts - I didn't expect this would happen.
My timeline is as follows:
Background: AOS case, C09, USC, adjusting from H1B
05/20/2019 - Married
09/13/2019 - AOS package received by USCIS (i-130,485,765)
10/17/2019 - Fingerprints done per appointment
10/18/2019 - Fingerprint reviewed and applied to case
10/31/2019 - Received RFIE for i-485 (more evidence for affidavit of support and joint sponsor was needed)
11/29/2019 - response sent back to USCIS and status updated as they received evidence for RFIE
- Silence for 87 days -
01/03/2020 - Lost job; contemplated expediting (never did).
02/24/2020 - Decided to speak with member of congress and explain that it has been 60+ days since I responded to the RFIE. Privacy form filled out and request sent on 02/27/2020. Also spoke with USCIS agent on Emma, and they opened a service request for me regarding my i-485.
03/06/2020 - Ready to be scheduled for interview
03/09/2020 - Interview scheduled for i-485 and new card being produced for i-765 later in the day.
178 days in total since time of filing; just under 6 months.
I don't believe it was coincidence that as soon as I reached out to my member of congress something happened. I recommend to reach out if this is an option for you.
Good luck all, it's been quite the trip - wishing safe passage for my EAD in the mail now, otherwise I hope you all will hear something soon. I definitely lost hope and probably gained a few pounds over the last 2 months, but something will happen soon for you all!

EAD J2 - I765 - What to do to speed things up after expedite request been denied
Hi all,
Do you have any tips on how I could influence / speed up my J2 EAD process?
Unfortunately my expedite request has been denied in less than 24 hours, for the reason that 'job offers to lose do not count as severe financial loss.' I have 2-3 job offers pending but the companies are getting impatient for waiting on my EAD and probably retract their offers.
My timeline for my EAD request at Potomac Service Center:
November 15 2019 - application filed
February 6 2020 - Request for 'additional' evidence (RFE) received by me
February 12 2020 - Response to RFE received

Expedite request approved but not case approved
Just wondering if anyone here have received expedite request approved but not receive their EAD card? I got expedite approved more than 28 days and my status still didn’t change to case was approved.
I submitted all my documents and on Feb 11 and it said “expedited request approved”
And since that I didn’t hear anything back from them.:(
Does anyone here know how long ( maximum days) does it take from expedite approved to case approved/ card is being produced ?
I am so stressed rn and a lot of people said they will get their EAD approved within 10 days.

An Update (POST RFE)
Finally got an update on my AOS case (i-130,485 and 765 filed September 13th 2019 at NBC).
RFE received end of October and replied to on November 29th regarding my i485. I heard nothing after 60 days. Day 85 post RFE filed an inquiry with my member of congress and I spoke with an agent on Emma who helped opening a service request.
March 6th 2020 in the late evening I received an "interview is ready to be scheduled update" - finally an update on one of my applications.
Hoping EAD is soon to follow. If history repeats itself, and given how far out I am out now, I am hoping I hear about my EAD within a matter of weeks. Hope I get a scheduled notice as well soon.

Hi All,
My wife's passport and I-94 is expiring on Oct 2020 but she has L2 visa till Dec 2022. I've applied her EAD but I believe it will take till Aug-Sep for EAD approval. I need help on following points:
1. What's the best way possible for EAD extension? (she will get her new passport by 15th March)
2. Will the grace period be valid in her case for EAD extension as she will have valid I-94 with principal' L1 approval?
