What does this SR response mean-Additional Reviews
Hi Guys,

On Feb 1st, attorney raised SR on pending I-140 (out of normal processing time) at NSC and today received following response:

" U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show that your case is currently pending adjudication. However, we have had to perform additional reviews on your case, and this has caused a longer processing time.
We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience. "

Any one has any idea what additional reviews they need for i140. Also, when can I expect update on pending case, if not when can I raise another SR or contact them. There is no timeline in this USCIS message.

Thanks!

Transfer to NBC in Lee's Summit?
I sent in i485 last summer, and I got transferred to NBC in Lee's Summit today. However I'm based in NYC.

I heard some people get transferred right away to another center for faster processing... but mine got transferred after waiting for 8 months already? :-O What's going on?

Employment based greencard interview experience chatsworth CA USCIS office
Hi All,

I have been reading and following this forum so closely for the past weeks since my EB2 Employment based greencard interview was scheduled for 2/12/2019 (today) in Chatsworth CA and I was soooo nervous!!

Now that it is all done, I'd love to help with my experience as well.

Ok here was my timeline:

EB2:

7/2/2018: I-140 , I-485 filed (Priority date CURRENT right away since I am from MOROCCO (minority so no wait time at all))
9/6/2018 : I-485 transferred to another office
10/18/2018: RFE for birth certificate copy
11/1/2018: RFE response received
11/16/2018: Ready to schedule interview
1/18/2019: interview notice received by mail for 2/12/2019
2/12/2019: interview at Chatsworth USCIS offfice
2/12/2019: New Card Is Being Produced

interview experience: Waited in the wait room with my lawyer about 40 mins before one officer came and called us, he told my lawyer he couldn't look her up since her license was from Maryland State and interview in CA, so he kind of was hesitating to allow her in the interview with me but then told her it's ok she can stay.. we did the oath and then it was very simple, he took my photo and fingerprints, then told me whats your first name last name DOB, mother's name father's name, like 5 yes/no questions for arrests and crimes and fraud, then asked if i work now, previous employer, then asked to see my passports and copy them, then asked for SupJ and employer letter/job offer.. then asked me to explain what are my duties in the new job (since he couldnt understand the letter (engineering technical terms..)) so i explained and he said "ah it makes sense" and smiled for me... then started telling me how i can login and track status of my card and that it would take 10 days or so to be mailed and how i can get automatic updates by text messages... he was easy and quick... he told me he cannot let me know the decision right away though because he has to upload the supJ to his system or something but i should see the update same day online... that's it.. i went out said bye to him.... 5 hours later received a text message saying new card being produced.... :)

So happy it was a long and stressful process.... glad it's over finally!!

Good luck everyone :)

4. RFE on 485: 9/24/2018

11. Interview Date: 2/12/2019 - Interview at Philadelphia field office.
12. New card being produced: 2/12/2019

The interview was pretty straight forward.

The officer received me and guided me to her office. Took the oath and fingerprints.
She asked for my passport and ID. Then she was reviewing something on her computer while I was anxiously waiting.
Then she asked for my original birth certificate and translation. She pointed out that the photocopy of the translation that I had submitted along with the application was not clear and asked if I had another photocopy. I did not. She asked me not to worry and that she will make a photocopy herself, which she did at the end.

The next document she asked was the employment verification letter. My attorney had also asked me to take the SUPP - J along (I had already submitted this for my RFE). So I handed over the EVL and SUPP-J to the officer.

Then she asked me to start flipping the pages of my passport one by one. She noticed that my H-1B expired on 12/26. She asked if I'm on EAD. I said yes. She asked for it and I gave her my EAD. These were the only docs that were asked.

She then started with the questions - job responsibilities? what does your company do ? when was your last entry to the US? Your phone number? Your parents names? some 15-20 yes/no questions from 485, what's your address from the previous residence ? what were you doing there ? and pretty much that's it. She then asked me to sign and said I'll have to wait for 4-8 weeks for them to review my application and make a decision. She then asked me to wait in the waiting area while she took a photocopy of my birth cert translation and handed it over to me.

By the time I reached home, I got the text notification for status update on my case. Logged in and it said "New Card Being Produced".

Good luck everyone and happy to answer any questions. Thank you for all your support so far.

Chicago AOS Interview Experience
Case: EB1 C, India, PD – 12/2017 & I140 approved 10/2018
I had my interview in Chicago yesterday. Generally, the experience was good and here are the details:
- Checking in, registration …etc. was comparable to my experience at consulate back home when I went for visa stamping
- Officer picked us up from the waiting area and took us to the room which was 8 x 8 Feet with 4 chairs and lots of documents. Closed door.
- We had a 9-month-old and she was super polite and considerate throughout the process even with baby screaming, making noises …etc.
- She explained to me up front that she has not finished reviewing my case yet and will not be making final decision by the end of the interview. When I asked her what that means, she explained that she is required to review full case file which is few hundreds of pages of documents and she hasn’t been able to complete it. In fact, she showed me the pile of papers related to my case. It was easily close to 3000 pages and out of curiosity I asked why my file is so big and she asked how long I have been in the US, type of visas …etc. and then she said, I am not surprised given your duration of stay, multiple types of visas and that it is common for employment based petitions to have large piles of documents
- She then asked me if it is okay to proceed without my attorney (it was never a plan to go with attorney) and when I said yes, she asked if I still have retained the attorney and if she should send any future communications to the attorney if needed … I said yes. She wrote down a disclaimer outlining it and made me initial it
- She then explained the interview process i.e. I will go first followed by my wife and asked us not to interrupt each other while she is interviewing and that we will have an opportunity to clarify anything we need to in the end
- My interview started with finger printing, taking photos and then going through I485 page by page (ditto for my wife)
- Then we got into Q&A; she asked if anything needs to be clarified and we just clarified few entry/exit dates as me and my wife had travelled separately, nothing major. She didn’t ask for any originals, so I offered it to her and she said “I didn’t see a need – your docs are clear so I am good with that”. I asked if she would like to see any of the docs my attorney asked to bring to the interview – i.e. pay stubs, W2 …etc. It was all in a folder and she said “I will take that folder and refer if I need to as I go through your case file”. That ended the Q&A session
- She then explained what happens next i.e. she will make a final decision or ask for more info if needed, as she reviews the remaining case paperwork and once the final decision is made, if the dates are current green card will be mailed if not it will go back to my original processing center – in my case Nebraska. She also explained that the online status may not reflect rightly and not to be concerned
- She walked us out and was very kind, considerate throughout.

Biometrics
Hi,

My wife and I had Biometrics done on last Thursday. If I try to check the case update, my wife's shows that fingerprint verification completed while my still shows original status (i.e. Fingerprint fee received). Does anyone has similar experience? What are the next steps for me?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Interview on September 2018.
After waiting almost 5 months, I decided to call USCIS and request infopass and I did. Officer called me back and said my case (EB3) is still under regular processing time which is 24 months! And next day my online cases changed to:

Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction.
Next Steps We will assign your case to an officer. We will review your case and mail you our decision. If we need more information, we will notify you.

My case was transferred to TSC due to retrogression. What does it mean, are they gonna send my case to new field office again? Anyone had same experience?

Thanks
