Switch jobs during retrogression period
What are the implications for switching jobs during this period ? EB2 ROW is current and my interview was done in august 2019. Do I still have to go through the AC21 ?

End of the journey
Hello my friends, as some of you know I have been participating in some posts sharing my experience obtained throughout these years.
Today, my card has arrived!!!!!

This is my timeline:

EB3 - ROW
1. November 2017: PERM (ETA 9089) filed => Priority date.

2. April 2018: PERM approved.

3. By the end of July 2018: I-140 (premium processing) filed.

4. First week of August 2018: I-140 approved.

5. October 2018: I-131/485/765 filed.

6. November 2018: Biometrics.

7. February 1st 2019: REF - Supplement J. / Evidence submitted the third week of Feb 2019

8. Last week of February 2019: I-131/765 -EAD combo card- approved.

9. March 2019: Frist interview notice ---> it was cancelled three days later. Status changed to "Interview cancelled"

10. June 2019: Second interview notice ---> the status on the app & USCIS website remains "Interview cancelled"

11. July 2019: Interviewed ---> I didn't receive any letter at the end of the interview. Just a comment to wait for 3 ~4 weeks. Caught by the retrogression. No changes on my app / USCIS web site, it remains "Interview Cancelled"

12. October 8th 2019: A message from one of the apps I downloaded (Lawfully): "We order you new card". A couple of hours later the same message from the other App (Case Tracker).

13. October 16th: my card was delivered at my lawyer's office....

Curious fact: USCIS has 2 websites:
https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and
https://myaccount.uscis.gov/
Well, the first address shows the most current status, and the second one still shows "Interview cancelled".

My advice to you: keep optimistic, do not desperate because you won't get anything good. It may sounds easy once approved but, trust me I know how this waiting feels like.

I wish rest of you all the best, your time to get approved is coming.

Approved but not get GC
Hello,

This will be my las question hopefull till we get our cards in hand!

I have a quick question if anybody have an experience, opinion, or guess I appriricate.

Our case is a F1 and EB3 application (ROW). My husband is primary applicant. We had our interview on 08/26/2019. After a week my husband`s application was approved and his status has been chanced to `case was approved`. Mine and our kid`s however still under review.
In the notice paper my husband got after his approval, it says `you will received your card within 3 weeks otherwise please contact USCIS`. More than 5 weeks have already passed neither my husband get his card nor my and our kid`s status has been chanced. So, we today we called USCIS call center and the call center operator told us, normally we should got our cards witihin 3 weeks but thay have 60 days to issue GC.

So my question, is there anybody has similar experience? What could be the reason that they did not send his card although he was apprived? and although we applied as a family why mine and our kid`s status different than my husband?

Thank you so much and please answer me if you have an idea!

Processing date retrogressed but now current
So I had my interview in Houston office on August 9th. Date was retrogressed August 1st but is now current. I called the USCIS number today and the officer said that right now normal processing times for the texas service center is 11.5-40 months from start to finish so it could take about that much time.

Is that true ? Processing times to file applications, get scheduled for fingerprints etc I get. But for a case where there will be no more interview and processing date is current, it can't be that long of a wait time. Right ?

Atlanta GA Local Office?
Our cases have been ready to schedule for an interview for over a month now and still no update. Is there anyone else that has been waiting for an interview to be scheduled for this long? We are in Atlanta GA and I read another poster here mentioning that the Atlanta office is way over loaded and they were actually assigned to an office in Alabama.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has or had similar experience.

Thank you.

NYC Federal Building applicant
Hello everyone,

Our case is a sponsor based GC application (F1 visa and EB3). We applied as a family (we have a kid as well). We are European born. We had our employment permits, advance parole, and social security numbers in July 2019.

Then, we had our GC interview on 08/26/2019 at New York City Federal Building. The interview was Kk. Our lawyer was with us as well but he just observed the interview. We had submitted all documents they have asked from us already. At the end of the interview the officer gave us that standard white paper.

Following week on 09/06/2019 my husband`s case (he is the applicant) was approved but mine and our kid`s are `must be reviewed` status. Nothing changed yet. This waiting is really killing.

Is there anybody had interview at NYC federal building and have similar experince? It may make us little bit good..

Good luck all

Best

I485 approval
I have been a silent reader in this forum. I have been through the emotional stress and unhappiness. However, the emotional stress and unhappiness are over. I am happy to announce the approval of my i485 and my status have changed to new card being produced. I had my interview in Baltimore during the retrogression. Precisely, I had my interview on 22nd August, 2019. My priority date was November 2018 and got my i765 card approved in August 18. I prayed, waited and talked to a lot of people that have been through this process.
My advice is that be patient, pray and put your mind at rest.
To add to this, my status changed to “fingerprint review was completed” on 30th August, 2019.
