DD(Raju)
Raju,

You need not to carry 4600 DD again. You just carry the 221(g) form ie Blue form and that would be enough to get entry in consulate

Wish you the good luck !!

Re: do i need fresh ds156
When ever you go to the consulate u have to fill the DS-156/157 again.

You can go on any tuesday , wednesday, thursday as written on the back of 221(g) form.
It also contains all the details what all to carry.
You can always say the passport has taken more time or getting the docs has taken time.
All the best

Got Visa after 221(g) at Chennai - H1B for me and H4 for my family
First let me thank this wonderful site which has helped me in getting the Visa.

Let me tell you how it has happened to me this time :

Based on recent info. in this immihelp I was some what confident in
getting the Visa, my understanding was almost all 221(g) are getting Visa.

This time when I went to the first counter with new set of DS-156 (for me an my
family) and DS-157 (for me) and offcourse my 221(g) orginal.
I gave my kid's orginal DOB certificate and my Marriage Certificate,
later they had keyed the data into their system and gave a file, I
noticed that a sheet called checklist is not given to me but has been
given to all, I asked them about that then they took back my file and
prepared that check list (guys these people are not really keen in
providing what VO requires so be cautious, infact the VO had asked one
guy who was in front of me for this checklist and he did not have this
so he had to go back to get this).

I had all the documents this time but I got somehow distrubed when I
saw one VO was rejecting most of Visitor visas as those people has already been
to USA and had extended their Visas for some more time (VO does not like it),
Offcouse I am for H1B so it does not matter.

I was asked all the questions of Additional info. required in 221(g),
I gave the VO one by one, infact my 221(g) has 6 additional requirement
so it took some time for VO to check all.

One thing guys I saw almost all guys haveing 221g got Visas, So don't be
panic atall, you will get it.
