In your other post it says yu are sending translation of birth certificate, but you dont need that for 864 you need the sponsors proof of citizenship a passport or birth certificate. You need immigrants birth certificate for adjustment of status application.

The RFIE asked for it. It seems that they went over I-864 and I-485.

Even if you are not using a co sponsor you have to send proof of citizenship

We already sent it with the original package. This is a RFIE and we are sending what they ask.

So we went to the IRS office in Baltimore today to file our first joint tax return. Well really, to apply for a Tax ID number for my spouse and submitting your federal tax return is required with the W-7 form. We need an ITIN for him to open joint bank accounts and to add him to my insurance policies, etc. Anywho… they said 9 to 11 weeks for processing the ITIN application. 9-11 weeks! WTH!? SMH and sucking my teeth

Thank u CuriousCat! I think it's more about the city.. My field office is tampa, If I applied in miami I'm sure it would take longer time

yeah I️ think Tampa is moving much faster than other cities. My field office is Orlando, though my timeline hasn’t been that long.

My husband dad had expired ITIN number. IRS sent a letter and you have to respond and give them a required copy what they asking. After that he keeping a same number without any issues.
IRS must contact with you, if they do not contact everything it’s ok.

Just received the interview confirmation letter for February 19th. If all goes well it’ll be a 4 month process from initial application to GC interview.

Guys please I need someone here to advice accordingly..

i submitted my i864 form for joint sponsor with tax return and all W2s without paystub or letter from employer verifying pay rate . I didn’t get an rfie for the form i864 ..
my interview notice stated I should come with the last 2 month of paystub and letter from employer for my joint sponsor..
My joint sponsor is my uncle who recently had personal issues with my wife and hasn’t been talking to me .. I have been trying to reach him since I got the interview letter so I can get the paystub and letter from employer but he is not available..

should i I go ahead with the interview or get a new joint sponsor to fill out a new form 864 to take along on interview day
