Visa status on CEAC website is stuck at Adminstrative processing since day of interview. VO said my visa is approved and would take 5 days. But it's been more than 30 calendar days now. I was not given any 221G slip and passport was retained by VO. Not sure what's going on. Anyone else in same boat?

Dropbox on June 14, called for interview on July 3 and got 221g and returned passport: took client letter, I-129 and contacted client on July 11 and client responded on July 15. Got email on July 25 for reinterview on July 26 and got 221g again but took passport this time and asked for LCA. Case is still in AP since July 26. Frustrating to be on the waiting side, no idea when I will receive an update.

Guys,
I need some help , my wife attended h4 visa interview on june 10 at US Embassy chennai. Interviewer has asked basic questions (Marriage date,Marriage certificate,Marriage Photos,i797 copy). He said your visa is denied under 221G admin process and returned her passport back. We have contacted the consulate and they have replied saying that it is not rejected it is under admin process and use ds 160 form number to check your case status.
It's been more than 60 days and still the status is same (admin processing).

On June 17th, I submitted my passport at VFS Delhi. On June 20th received an email:"Passport ready for collection". Passport collected the same day.
Visa not issued, i was asked to go for an interview to the US embassy next day.
On June 21st I went to the embassy at 9am. The staff at US embassy asked me to skip the queue and go straight for fingerprints. After fingerprints, they asked me to again skip the queue and go straight to the counter for my interview.
The interviewer asked me client's name, employer's name, highest education, client location, job title. He checked something on his computer and went away for 2 mins. He gave me 221g with a blue slip and asked to email i797, i129 petition, Cover letter sent to DHS with the petition application, LCA, Client letter, itinerary of services, contract and internal project description.
Sent the email to US Consulate on June 24th. Client received a questionnaire on July 19th. He responded the same day.
No update since then. Please advise

Hi,
Myself with family attended Visa interview at Chennai, India for stamping. I have been working in US for last 4 and half years. This is the first time I am coming India on vacation. My extension was approved from US till Nov 2020 and have the I-797 approval notice. During interview at Consulate the officer mentioned as my case is approved and gave a slip with instructions on how to collect the passport.
But the site status shows admin processing since the date of interview. Initially when I called support center they said to wait for 7-10 days and mentioned as this is default status. I have not received any calls or mails also.
Has anyone else gone through this as you have valid I-797 approved from consulate and during interview also its approved but passport is held at consulate with admin processing. It seems a black box with no updates. I had to cancel my return ticket for myself and family.

I appeared for the Visa interview on 27th June 2019 and my passport was submitted and i was assured by embassy conslate and the VFS team that i will receive my passport back along with the stamped H4 visa within a weeks' time from the date of submission.
Now, when i am trying to understand the status of my passport and visa online, it says it is with Embassy/conslate under Administration processing.
I would like to understand what does this mean and when will i be receiving my VISA so that i can travel back to USA . Planned travel date 12th July 2019.
