H4 stamping - Form 221(g)
My wife had been for H4 stamping at Chennai Consulate on 25th Jan 2005. I had sent all the documents, but had not sent all the bank statements. I had only sent 3 months bank stmts and it were only xerox copies of it..
The consulate has now requested to produce me Orignal Bank statements for the past 6 months with detailed transaction summary. The form that they issued is 221(g).
Please advice me. I don't know much about this form 221(g). Will they stamp in the next visit or create issues.

HI All,
Got my H1b on 14th Jan,2004. The interview lasted for 15 Mins. Please be prepared with all the paperd listed on the website as well as questions like:
1)Your current salary
2) What does your company do.
3) What will be your profile
4)Your company website
5) All relevant company information make sure to carry them.
Like : Brochures, Finacial summary , Photographs.

Got our H1 & H4 visa from Delhi Consulate,
after the initial hiccups at the line.
The consulate babus forced us to rejoin the
line 2 times !@^&@!#@!^&^&!@#
1) For photos,and irony was I had taken the photo
in US and UCIS
2) For putting permanent address as US address,
they wanted Indian address since I was
applying from India.
The actual visa interview was short and peaceful,
with predictable questions.

1.When did u get married?
2.In which co. your husband is working?
3.When he Got the Job?
4.Why u had not applied before? ( actually he was on work permit)
5.what type of co.it is( in which he is working)
After these easy going interview he gave me the VISA.Also he only asked for my spouse's bank statemnt.
So best of luck to all of u.

I have been for my H1 stamping last week to delhi consulate and got the same after a long & fruit ful wait of close to two hours in the morning , my interview lasted for about close to 30 to 45 seconds , he asked me regarding my new employer & my degree details , and asked me to show the petition copies which my new employer has filed and he said that my visa has been granted & approved.Be prepared with all the documents & be confident before the interview donot show that you are desperate in getting the visa.
For some candidates he was asking for all most all the documents , phots , blah blah and finally he rejected the visa for him.
